After making it six winners from eight to begin the month of March at Frankfurt on Sunday, Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the match in the Scottish Championship, and I’m anticipating an entertaining encounter.

Raith Rovers will look to move within one point of table-toppers Dundee United as they travel to Firhill to take on 3rd-placed Partick Thistle in a fixture that screams out goals to me.
Kris Doolan’s hosts are the second-highest scorers in the Championship, slamming in 53 goals across their opening 27 matches, with 24 (45%) of them coming on home soil. The Jags have found the back of the net in 22/24 (92%) of their Championship matches when excluding contests against league leaders Dundee United – scoring on multiple occasions in 17 (71%) of them – and will be confident of breaching a Raith defence that’s registered just two clean sheets on their travels this season, with just one of those coming across their last 11.
Ian Murray’s visitors are the third-highest scorers in the Scottish Championship, scoring 48 goals across their opening 27 matches, with 21 (44%) of them coming on their travels. The Kirkcaldy outfit have made the net bulge in all bar three of their league outings – scoring on multiple occasions in 17 (63%) of them – and will be confident of getting on the scoresheet once again against a Jags defence that has kept just four clean sheets in the Championship this season, with just one of those coming across their last 19.

Since last season, these two sides have faced off six times, and goals have been a regular feature in those matches, with all six (100%) seeing Over 2.5 Goals payout, with each of the last three – including two this season (2-2 & 4-3) – also seeing both sides find the target.
Partick Thistle’s opening 27 Championship fixtures this season are averaging a league-high 3.70 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals copping in 16/27 (59%) of them, including in 12 of their previous 18 – and given the same has landed in eight of Raith’s previous 10 road trips – I’m happy to have a punt on there being a minimum of three strikes, with both of these high-scoring sides finding the target for the third consecutive meeting this season.
