Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Premier League, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals and cards.

Wolves will look to continue their impressive run of form as they welcome 15th-placed Brentford to Molineux on Saturday afternoon in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Gary O’Neil’s hosts have scored 37 goals across their opening 23 Premier League matches this term, with 19 (51%) of them coming on home soil. The Old Gold have made the net bulge in 20 of their previous 22 Premier League outings – scoring on multiple occasions in five of their last six – and will look to find the target once again against a Bees defence that’s kept just three clean sheets in the league this season, shipping multiple goals in nine of their last 12.
Thomas Frank’s visitors have scored 32 goals across their opening 22 Premier League matches, with 12 (38%) of them coming in front of their supporters. The Bees have found the back of the net in 18/22 (82%) of their Premier League fixtures this term – scoring on multiple occasions in nine (41%) of them – and will look to trouble a Wolves defence that’s registered just four clean sheets in the Premier League this season, with three (75%) of them coming against two of the bottom three.

Wolves’ opening 23 Premier League fixtures this campaign are averaging 3.22 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in 16 (70%) of them, including 12 of their last 15 – and given the same has landed in 16/22 (73%) of Brentford’s league outings this term, including eight of their last nine – I’m happy to have a punt on there to be at least three strikes in the Black Country on Saturday afternoon.
To nudge up the price, I’m happy to throw in both sides to be shown a card. Both teams have picked up a card in 21/23 (91%) of Wolves’ Premier League tussles this term, whilst the same has landed in 18/22 (82%) of The Bees Premier League contests this season.
