Euro 2024 Bet of the day

Following back-to-back winners at Sinsheim and Birmingham over the weekend, the Football Bet of the Day returns on Tuesday, and I’ve come up with a bet builder for the big game in The Championship.

⚽️ Leicester City vs Southampton

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Championship

⏰ Tuesday 23 April, 20:00

Leicester will look to move four points clear at the top of the Championship table as they welcome fellow automatic promotion hopefuls Southampton to The King Power in what promises to be a competitive clash.

Enzo Maresca’s hosts are the third-highest scorers in the Championship, banging in 81 goals across their opening 43 matches, with 42 (52%) of them coming at home.

The Foxes have found the back of the net in all bar two of their league outings on home soil – striking on multiple occasions in 14/21 (67%) of them – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again on home soil against a Saints defence that has registered six clean sheets on their travels this term, with five (83%) of them coming against sides currently positioned in 16th and below.

Russell Martin’s visitors are the joint-highest scorers in the Championship, scoring 85 goals across their opening 43 matches, with 31 (36%) of them coming on the road.

The Saints have failed to score in just three of their Championship encounters this term – notching in 35 of their previous 36 matches – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again against a Foxes defence that has only kept two clean sheets across their last 11 Championship contests on home soil, with those coming against Sheffield Wednesday (21st) and Rotherham (24th).

Bet of the Day

Southampton’s opening 43 Championship fixtures this season are averaging a league-high 3.28 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in a joint-best 29 (67%) of them – and given the same has landed in nine of Leicester’s previous 11 at home – I’m happy to have a punt on both of these promotion hopefuls getting on the scoresheet.

To nudge the price up, firstly, I’m happy to throw in both sides to pick up a card. This selection has paid out in 36/42 (86%) of the pair’s respective home and away league matches this campaign.

Finally, I’m also happy to add seven or more corners in the match. This selection has landed in 40/42 (95%) of the pair’s respective home and away league matches this campaign.

  • Both Teams to Score, Both Teams Over 0.5 Cards & Over 6.5 Corners
  • Pays 10/11 (BetVictor Bet Builder)
