Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Champions League qualifiers and I’ve come up with a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Fenerbahçe will look to seal their place in the third round of Champions League qualifying as they welcome Swiss side Lugano to the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium on Tuesday night, and just like the first leg, I’m expecting to see plenty of goals.
José Mourinho made a winning start as Fenerbahçe boss, as his side won 3-4 in Switzerland last week against Lugano in the first leg of their second-round Champions League qualifier.
The Swiss side took the lead after just four minutes, but Fener then took a 1-2 and 2-4 lead before conceding a third deep into stoppage time to keep the tie alive.
The Yellow Canaries collected a remarkable 99 points in the Turkish Süper Lig last term, but that still wasn’t enough to seal their first league title since 2013/14, as they finished three points behind bitter-rivals Galatasaray.
Lugano will look to go one better than their second-place finish in the Swiss Super League last term and have made the perfect start in doing exactly that.
Unlike their opponents, Mattia Croci-Torti’s men have already begun their domestic campaign, and they have made it two wins from two, as they have defeated both Grasshoppers and Basel – both by a 2-1 scoreline.
Bet of the Day
As already alluded to, these two sides played a seven-goal thriller in Lugano last week, and it’s hard to envisage there not being many goals in Istanbul on Tuesday.
Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals has paid out in each of Lugano’s opening three competitive fixtures this season – including in the first leg last week – and I’m happy to have a punt on us seeing a repeat in Türkiye.
