Euro 2024 Bet of the day

After seeing our winning run end at three following that snooze fest in Georgia on Tuesday, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the EFL, and there is one fixture in the Championship that appeals to me for both goals and cards.

⚽️ Huddersfield Town vs Coventry City

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Championship

⏰ Friday 29th March, 15:00

Two clubs at opposite ends of the Championship table meet at The John Smith's Stadium on Friday afternoon as relegation-threatened Huddersfield play host to playoff-chasing Coventry in a fixture that appeals to me for both goals and cards.

André Breitenreiter’s new side have scored 42 goals across their opening 38 matches in the Championship this term, with 23 (55%) of them coming on home soil. After failing to score in each of their opening two league contests in front of their supporters this season, The Terries have managed to get on the scoresheet in 15 of their next 17 – including in each of their last 11 – and will look to find the target for the 12th consecutive home match against a Coventry defence that has registered just three clean sheets away from home this campaign.

Mark Robins’ visitors have scored 59 goals across their opening 37 Championship fixtures this season, with 30 (51%) of them coming on their travels. The Sky Blues have found the back of the net in 17/19 (89%) of their away matches in the Championship this term – scoring on multiple occasions in five of their previous eight – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again away from home against a Huddersfield defence that has kept just four clean sheets at home this season, with three (75%) of those coming against teams currently positioned in 17th and below.

Bet of the Day

Coventry’s opening 19 Championship fixtures on their travels this term are averaging 2.95 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in 14/19 (74%) of them – and given the same has landed in 11 of Huddersfield’s previous 16 Championship tussles on home turf – I’m happy to have a punt on both of these finding the target in West Yorkshire on Friday afternoon.

To nudge up the price, I’m happy to add in both sides to pick up a card. This selection has proven profitable in all 19 (100%) of Coventry’s away matches in the Championship this term, with it also landing in 16/19 (84%) of Huddersfield’s Championship outings in front of their supporters.

  • Both Teams to Score & Both Teams Over 0.5 Cards
  • Pays 13/10 (BetVictor Bet Builder)
