Following Friday’s winner in Romania, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me take a trip to the Italian second tier and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Two clubs separated by just two points in the Italian Serie B table meet at the Stadio Dino Manuzzi tomorrow afternoon as 13th-placed Cesena entertain sixth-placed Brescia in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Michele Mignani’s hosts are the third-highest scorers in the Italian top flight, slamming in 16 goals across their opening nine matches, with 13 (81%) of them coming on home soil.
The Cavallucci Marini have failed to score in just one of their league outings – notching in multiple occasions in all five (100%) on home turf – and will look to continue their strong goal-scoring record at home against a Brescia backline that has recorded a solitary shutout across their past eight league matches, with that coming against rock-bottom Frosinone.
Rolando Maran’s visitors have scored 14 goals across their opening nine league outings this campaign, with 13 (93%) of them coming across their past six matches.
After failing to score in two of their opening three encounters, Le Rondinelle have found the back of the net in each of their next six – striking on multiple occasions in four (67%) of them – and will look to continue their recent goal-scoring run of form against a Cesena defence that has conceded a league-high 17 goals, shipping multiple goals in five of their last six and six of their previous eight league fixtures.

Cesena’s opening nine matches in Serie B this campaign have averaged a league-high 3.67 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals banking in seven (78%) of them, including in 4/5 (80%) of them on home soil – and given Brescia’s previous six matches in the Italian top flight have averaged an eye-catching 4.00 goals per game, with five (83%) of them producing a minimum of three strikes – I’m happy to have a play on there being three or more goals in Emilia-Romana on Saturday.
