Football Bet of the Day 23rd august

After returning to winning ways in Catalonia on Thursday, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Portuguese top flight, and I’ve highlighted a selection to get the champions on side.

⚽️ Estoril vs Sporting CP

🇵🇹 Primeira Liga

⏰ Friday 27 September, 20:15

Sporting will look to continue their scintillating start to the season as they travel to the Estádio António Coimbra da Mota tomorrow evening to take on Estoril in a fixture that I’ve found the way to get the visitors on side.

Estoril began the campaign with successive losses, as they were beaten 1-4 at home to Santa Clara (4th) before falling to a 1-0 defeat away at Vitoria Guimaraes.

Since then, Ex-Hearts head coach Ian Cathro has seen his new side go on a four-match unbeaten run (W1-D3-L0), after coming from two goals down to draw at Rio Ave last time out.

However, all six of those points have been earned against teams currently positioned in ninth and below, losing both matches against sides positioned in fifth and above.

Sporting have made the perfect start to the defence of their Primeira Liga crown, with Rúben Amorim’s men winning each of their opening six league outings to sit three points above nearest-challengers Porto – who they beat 2-0 on MD4 – and five above city-rivals Benfica.

The Lions have been potent in front of goal, slamming in an eye-catching 22 goals across those six league victories and conceding just twice.

Bet of the Day

As alluded to, Sporting have made the perfect start to the defence of their Primeira Liga crown, with Rúben Amorim’s men winning each of their opening six league outings – slamming in an eye-catching 22 goals and conceding just twice – and I’m backing them to be too strong for their hosts.

10 (45%) of those goals have been scored by their red-hot forward Viktor Gyökeres, with the Ex-Coventry City man finding the back of the net in all six (100%) of their league outings to date – as well as in each of his last nine matches in all competitions for club and county – and I’m happy to back the Swede to net once again in a Sporting victory.

Can’t be right, odds 1/4 for sporting to score 2 goals, bet can’t apply as you have added a goal scorer, bookies would be out of business if that was the case as even if he doesn’t score they will payout?I’d be on that bet everyday&chose the most unlikely scorer to bump up the odds😂😂,
