Following Sunday’s winner in Italy, Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the EFL, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Two clubs separated by only one point and place in the League Two table meet at Broadfield Stadium tomorrow evening as 15th-placed Crawley play host to 16th-placed Walsall in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Scott Lindsey’s hosts have scored 44 goals across their opening 29 matches in League Two this term, with 26 (59%) of them coming on home soil. The Red Devils have found the back of the net in 12/15 (80%) of their league contests in front of their supporters – striking on multiple occasions in eight (53%) of them – and they will be confident in troubling a Walsall defence still yet to record a clean sheet on their travels in League Two this season, shipping multiple goals in 10/15 (67%) of them.
Mat Sadler’s visitors have scored 42 goals across their opening 29 matches in League Two this campaign, with 25 (60%) of them coming on their travels. The Saddlers have found the back of the net in 12/15 (80%) of their road trips – scoring two or more goals in seven (47%) of them – and will look to trouble a Crawley defence that has recorded a solitary clean sheet across their last 14 at home, with that coming against 23rd-placed Sutton.

Walsall’s opening 15 League Two fixtures on the road this campaign are averaging 3.73 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in 12 (80%) of them – and given the same has landed in 10 of Crawley’s previous 12 in front of their supporters – I’m happy to have a punt on these two sides producing a minimum of three goals in West Sussex tomorrow evening, with the hosts scoring at least one of them.
