After seeing our winning start to June end at five in Norway on Sunday, Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me take another trip to Finland, and I’ve highlighted one fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends.

2nd-placed VPS will look to keep the pressure on league leaders KuPS as they travel to the Wiklöf Holding Arena to take on mid-table Mariehamn on Wednesday afternoon in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Bruno Romão’s hosts have scored 13 goals across their opening 10 matches in the Finnish top flight this term, with nine (69%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Grönvitt have made the net bulge in 4/5 (80%) of their league outings in front of their supporters – scoring on multiple occasions in three (60%) of them – and will look to get on the scoresheet once again at home against a VPS defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet in the league this season, with that coming at home against bottom side Lahti.
Jussi Nuorela’s visitors are the joint second-highest scorers in the Finnish top flight, banging in 21 goals across their opening 11 matches, with nine (43%) of them coming across their five road trips.
The Vaasa-based club have found the back of the net in each of their opening 11 (100%) league outings – notching on multiple occasions in seven (64%) of them, including in 4/5 (80%) of them on their travels – and will be confident of maintaining their 100% goal-scoring record this season against a Mariehamn backline that has registered a solitary clean sheet in the league this campaign.
