Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the MLS, and I’ve highlighted one fixture that appeals to me for goals.

The runaway leaders in the Eastern Conference, Inter Miami, welcome an improving Philadelphia Union to the Chase Stadium in the early hours of Sunday morning in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Gerardo Martino’s hosts are the leading scorers across both conferences in the MLS, slamming in a remarkable 62 goals across their opening 27 matches, with 35 (56%) of them coming on home soil.
The Herons have made the net bulge in each of their opening 14 MLS encounters in front of their supporters – notching on multiple occasions in 11 (79%) of them – and will look to add to their impressive goal-tally at home to a Philadelphia defence that has recorded only three clean sheets on their travels this season, shipping two or more goals in six of their last nine.
Long-standing Philadelphia head coach Jim Curtin has seen his side score 47 goals across their opening 27 contests in the MLS this campaign, with an impressive 26 (55%) of them coming on their travels.
The Union have found the back of the net in all bar one of their opening 13 road trips – striking on multiple occasions in 10 of their last 12 – and will look to continue their impressive goal-scoring record on their travels against a Miami defence that’s recorded just three clean sheets across their previous 24 matches in the MLS.

Inter Miami’s opening 27 MLS encounters this campaign have averaged a league-high 3.78 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals banking in 19 (70%) of them, including in 17 of their last 20 – and given the same has landed in nine of The Union’s previous 12 MLS encounters on their travels – I’m happy to have a punt on there being a minimum of three strikes, with both of these sides contributing, a selection that also landed in the reverse fixture back in June.
