Despite falling a Heidenheim goal short yesterday, Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me remain in the Bundesliga, and there is one match in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Two clubs battling out for European qualification in the Bundesliga meet at the Deutsche Bank Park on Sunday as 6th-placed Eintracht Frankfurt play host to 7th-placed Hoffenheim in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Dino Toppmöller’s hosts have scored 38 goals across their opening 24 matches in the Bundesliga this term, with 19 (50%) of them coming at home. Die Adler have found the back of the net in 10/11 (91%) of their Bundesliga outings in front of their supporters – scoring two or more in five of their previous eight – and will be confident of breaching a Hoffenheim defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet in the Bundesliga this season, shipping multiple goals in 9/12 (75%) of their road trips.
Pellegrino Matarazzo’s visitors have scored 43 goals across their opening 24 Bundesliga matches this term, with 24 (56%) of them coming on their travels. The Sinsheim-based club have found the back of the net in all bar two of their Bundesliga fixtures – scoring two or more in 8/12 (67%) of their road trips – and they will look to get on the scoresheet once again against a Frankfurt defence that’s kept just two clean sheets across their previous 14 Bundesliga contests.

Hoffenheim’s opening 12 Bundesliga fixtures on their travels this campaign are averaging a staggering 3.92 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals clicking in nine (75%) of them – and given the same has landed in five of Frankfurt’s previous seven Bundesliga’s fixtures on home soil – I’m happy to have a punt on there to be a minimum of three goals, with both of these European-chasing sides getting on the scoresheet.
To nudge up the price, I’m happy to throw in the visitors to pick up a card. Hoffenheim have been carded in 23/24 (96%) of their Bundesliga tussles this term – and two or more in 22 (92%) of them – whilst all 11 (100%) of Frankfurt’s Bundesliga visitors to the Deutsche Bank Park have received a card.
