Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the English National League, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Two clubs hoping to end the season in the National League playoff places meet at Moss Lane on Saturday afternoon as 6th-placed Altrincham play host to 11th-placed Eastleigh in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Phil Parkinson’s hosts have scored 49 goals across their opening 27 National League fixtures this term, with 30 (61%) of them coming on home soil. The Robins have found the back of the net in all 13 (100%) of their league contests in front of their supporters – scoring on multiple occasions in eight of their last 11 – and will be confident of continuing their goal-scoring record at home against an Eastleigh defence that has registered just three clean sheets in the league this season, with none of them coming across their last 21 outings.
Richard Hill’s visitors have scored 50 goals across their opening 28 National League fixtures this term, with 22 (44%) of them coming on their travels. After failing to score in five of their opening eight league outings, The Spitfires have found the back of the net in 17 of their next 20 – scoring on multiple occasions in 14 (70%) of them – and will look to breach an Altrincham backline that’s registered a solitary clean sheet at home in the league this season.

Eastleigh’s opening 28 National League fixtures this campaign are averaging a league-high 3.71 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals banking in 16 of their previous 20 – and given the same has landed in nine of Altrincham’s last 11 on home soil – I’m happy to have a punt on there to be a minimum of three strikes, with both of these high-scoring sides finding the target.
