Football Bet of the Day

Looking to return to winning ways following West Brom’s blank at Norwich on Saturday, Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Danish Superliga, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

⚽️ Sonderjyske vs Silkeborg

🇩🇰 Superliga

⏰ Sunday 30 March, 13:00

Sonderjyske will look to boost their survival hopes as they welcome Silkeborg to Sydbank Park on Sunday afternoon in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.

Thomas Norgaard’s hosts have scored 26 goals across their opening 22 contests in the Danish top flight this term, with 14 (54%) of them coming in front of their supporters.

Sonderjyske have failed to score in just two of their opening 11 league outings on home soil – finding the back of the net in eight of their past nine – and will look to breach a Silkeborg defence that’s kept a solitary clean sheet across their previous 18 Danish Superliga matches and none in any of their last nine away from home.

Kent Nielsen’s visitors have scored 38 goals across their opening 22 matches in the Danish Superliga this campaign, with an impressive 21 (55%) of them coming on their travels.

Only leaders Midtjylland have prevented Silkeborg from scoring on their travels this season – with SIF notching 2+ goals in four of their last five and seven of their previous 10 road trips – and will be confident of breaching a Sonderjyske defence that’s kept a solitary shutout in the league this season, conceding a league-high 51 goals.

Bet of the Day

Sonderjyske’s opening 11 Danish top-flight contests in front of their supporters this campaign have averaged an eye-watering 3.82 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in each of their previous nine, whilst seven (78%) of those nine matches have seen four or more goals.

Silkeborg’s opening 11 Danish Superliga fixtures on their travels this season have averaged 3.18 goals per game, with four of their last five and six of their past nine seeing a minimum of four goals – including a 1-3 success at this venue at the beginning of the month – and I’m hoping the goals flow between these two sides once again on Sunday.

Therefore, I’m happy to back the Over 2.75 Asian goal. This would mean if there are exactly three goals scored, we will receive a half-stakes winner, whilst four or more strikes will reward a full payout.

  • Over 2.75 Asian Goal Line
  • Pays 17/20 (Bet365)
