Euro 2024 Bet of the day

After making it five winners from six to begin the month of March in Rome last night, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the goal-laden Dutch Eerste Divisie, and there is one side in particular that appeals to me for goals.

⚽️ VVV vs FC Emmen

?? Eerste Divisie

⏰ Friday 8th March, 19:00

Two clubs separated only by goal difference in the Eerste Divisie table meet at De Koel tomorrow evening as 11th-placed VVV play host to 10th-placed Emmen in a fixture that I’m keen to back the hosts to bag a double.

VVV’s winless run in the Eerste Divisie was extended to four matches last time out, as they were held to a 1-1 draw away at Helmond Sport. Rick Kruys’ hosts are now winless in each of their previous seven road trips (W0-D3-L4) but have been far improved at home in recent months. After winning just three of their opening nine league outings on home soil (W3-D2-L4), the Venlo-based club comes into this encounter having won four and drawn one of their next five.

Emmen had a strong first half of the season, winning nine and losing just two of their opening 16 Eerste Divisie fixtures (W9-D5-L2), but went on a horror run of form in which they’ve picked up a solitary point from their next nine matches. However, Fred Grim’s visitors come into this contest off the back of successive 2-0 victories over 9th-placed Cambuur and league leaders Willem II. Nevertheless, both of those successes were at home, with Emmen coming into this encounter having lost each of their previous six away matches by an aggregate score of 17-5.

Bet of the Day

Rick Kruys’ hosts have scored 43 goals across their opening 28 matches in the Eerste Divisie this term, with 27 (63%) of them coming at home. The Venlo-based club have found the back of the net in all bar one of their league contests on home soil – striking on multiple occasions 9/14 (64%) of them, including in each of their last five – and I’m backing them to bag a brace for the sixth consecutive home match against an Emmen defence that has registered just three clean sheets on their travels this term and none in their last eight, shipping multiple goals in each of their previous six.

  • VVV to Score Over 1.5 Goals
  • Pays 59/50 (Unibet)

Excellent recent results Greg. Thinking of sacking the mindless I-can-beat-the-bookies accas off and just following your singles instead. ?
