Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me remain in the Brazilian top flight, and I’ve highlighted one side in particular who I’m keen to back to get all three points.

Fourth-placed Bahia will look to return to winning ways on Sunday evening as they welcome poor-travelling Corinthians to the Casa de Apostas Arena Fonte Nova in a fixture that I’m keen to get the hosts on side.
Bahia failed to build on their 1-3 success away at eighth-placed Atlético PR, as they were beaten 1-2 at home to Cuiabá to leave them in fourth position, three points behind leaders Palmeiras – albeit playing one game more than the three sides above them in the table.
Prior to that loss last Saturday, legendary goal-scoring goalkeeper Rogério Ceni had seen his side win each of their opening seven Serie A matches on home soil – and they will be confident of returning to winning ways at home against their travel-sick opponents.
Ramón Díaz’s men claimed back-to-back home victories for the first time this season, as they came back from a goal down to defeat 14th-placed Criciúma 2-1, but they remain in the relegation zone on goal difference.
However, whilst Corinthians have lost just once at home this campaign (W3-D4-L1), it’s a different story away from home, as they remain winless, picking up just two points from a possible 27 (W0-D2-L7), failing to even score a goal in each of those defeats.
Bet of the Day
As already alluded to, Bahia had won each of their opening seven Brasileirão matches in front of their supporters prior to that 1-2 defeat against Cuiabá last weekend, and I’m backing them to return to winning ways against a Corinthians side that is still winless on their travels this campaign (W0-D2-L7).
To nudge up the price, I’m happy to add in under five match goals. This selection has banked in 8/9 (89%) of Bahia’s victories in the Brazilian top flight this term, whilst the same has also landed in 8/8 (100%) of Corinthians’ league defeats.
