Looking to return to winning ways after a couple of frustrating nights, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Bundesliga in a match that affects both ends of the table.

Bochum will look to climb outside of the relegation playoff spot on Friday evening as they welcome European hopefuls Hoffenheim to the Ruhrstadion in a fixture that appeals to me for both goals and cards.
Heiko Butscher’s hosts have scored 34 goals across their opening 30 matches in the Bundesliga this term, with 23 (68%) of those coming on home soil.
Die Blauen have found the back of the net in all 15 (100%) of their league encounters on home turf this season – scoring on multiple occasions in five of their last 12 – and will look to find the target once again on home soil against a Hoffenheim defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet in the Bundesliga this season, shipping multiple goals in 12/15 (80%) of their road trips.
Pellegrino Matarazzo’s visitors have scored 53 goals across their opening 30 Bundesliga matches this term, with 27 (51%) of them coming on their travels.
The Sinsheim-based club have found the back of the net in all bar three of their Bundesliga fixtures this season – scoring two or more in 15 (50%) of them – and will look to find the target once again against a Bochum backline that’s registered just four clean sheets in the Bundesliga this season, with just two of those coming on home soil.

Hoffenheim are the Both Teams to Score kings in the Bundesliga this season, with 26/30 (87%) of their fixtures producing goals at both ends – and given the same has landed in 13/15 (87%) of Bochum’s Bundesliga contests at their Ruhrstadion base this term – I’m happy to have a punt on both of these sides finding the target in North Rhine-Westphalia on Friday night.
