With FIFA having announced that the Club World Cup will have a new look in 2025, the recent draw for the competition has seen the betting market for its potential winner become available.

FIFA announced that, in a revamp similar to that of the Champions League, the Club World Cup would be transforming into a four-yearly 32-team tournament and includes more than just the winners of continental club competitions.

With a plethora of teams in with a chance of taking home the coveted trophy next summer, we take a look at some of the favourites.

Manchester City – 7/2

Drawn against Wydad AC, Al Ain FC, Juventus for the group stage, Paddy Power have Manchester City down as current favourites to win the Club World Cup.

Wydad AC, from Morocco, and Al Ain FC, from the UAE, will both be considered weak opponents for Pep Guardiola's side, who will be expected to breeze past them both with ease.

Juventus may pose more of a threat to the Cityzens in the early stages, but since they currently sit sixth in the Serie A table, there is no real suggestion that City would struggle to defeat them either.

Guardiola's side have been enduring a tough run of form recently, with only one win in their last eight matches in all competitions. However, they have been notoriously effective towards the back end of campaigns, and this should stand them in good stead for the 2025 Club World Cup.

Real Madrid – 4/1

Los Blancos' group should pose equally few problems to their chances of progressing towards the latter stages of the competition. Drawn against Al Hilal, CF Pachuca and FC Salzburg, the record Champions League winners should easily escape the group and move forward.

Carlo Ancelotti has a proven track record of success in European competitions. He has already won the Club World Cup itself three times, twice with Real Madrid and once with AC Milan.

On top of this, having five Champions League trophies to his name hardly hinders his glowing managerial record.

At 4/1, Real Madrid would be an excellent bet for punters, as they should have a fantastic chance of furthering their European legacy.

Bayern Munich – 7/1

Vincent Kompany's Bayern Munich have emerged as an outside contender for the Club World Cup with Paddy Power's odds. Priced at 7/1, the German giants will face Auckland City, Benfica and Boca Juniors in the preliminary round.

These three teams present a comparatively difficult task for Bayern, with Benfica currently having won three of their first five games in the Champions League.

Veteran Angel Di Maria and and Greek forward Vangelis Pavlidis have been in top form, and could cause issues for a Bayern side who have lacked confidence across the last two seasons.

Defeating Boca Juniors will also be no easy task. The Argentinian giants have won their domestic premiership 26 times, elucidating their dominance in the club's home country.

At 7/1, though, there is a distinct chance that Bayern could surprise everyone and rise to the challenge. The current odds provide good value, and a shock could be in store for supporters come the end of the season.
