JORDAN has put up AFC Champions League tips separately and is now turning his attention to the Champions League and one Europa League tie tonight.

He says: Couldn’t make use of the bigger card last night with Barnsley the only side letting down my treble. I said to Mr F I always question why I don’t back double chance more often as the treble would have landed last night even with Huddersfield down to 10 men and scoring a late goal. So that is what I’m doing tonight with the smaller card.

Manuel Pellegrini showed how serious he’s taking the Champions League by pretty much gifting Chelsea a place in the next round of the FA Cup last weekend and in his last season you probably can’t blame him.

All the stars were rested for their trip to Kiev who will be playing their first competitive match in about 10 weeks. They have kept themselves busy with plenty of friendlies but I’m sure if they had the option City wouldn’t be their first-choice competitive game to get back into the swing of things. I expect City to come away without a loss here and at 1-3 the double chance looks a good price for my treble.

Head over to the Netherlands where PSV host Atletico in what is harder to call game but you’d have to suggest that Diego Simeone won’t give the Dutch too much to take into the return leg in Spain. It was a toss-up between Atletico on the double chance or under 3.5 match goals which you can get for the same price but unders markets are not something I’m a fan of taking despite having an advantage from kick-off.

With Atletico's solid defence and PSV without Luuk De Jong and midfield maestro Guardado you’d expect the Spaniards to maybe nick a 1-0 victory or at least come into the return leg without a goal conceded. PSV were good at home in the group stages but Atletico are a tough nut to crack no matter where they play.

Third game takes us to Portugal in the Europa League where Braga host Swiss side Sion with a 2-1 lead. This might be the dodgiest of the lot as even a 1-0 defeat will see the Portuguese through. But that will be unlikely considering their only loss at home this season is against Benfica and Sion have only just restarted their domestic season after the winter break.

Double Chance Treble

Manchester City
Atletico Madrid
Braga (5pm)

(21-25, Ladbrokes) – 2.5 points

  2. komolube1 3 years ago

Jordan, what about Braga to score 2+?
    What do you think?

  3. gio123 3 years ago

Dynamo Kyev is not gonna lose , trust me)
    I would suggest:
Dynamo Kyev to win either half
    and PSV vs Atletico BTTS

    • Jordan 3 years ago

From Ukraine by any chance Gio? :) Bold statement anyway. Good luck.

      • gio123 3 years ago

No , not from Ukraine)) I just know the team and they R tough to beat at their ground)) Man city will definitely qualify but I think there is a better chance of a draw or even lucky win for dynamo tonight)
        Braga should win
and Atletico probably BTTS is safer choice, but probably they’re gonna win too)
Hibs -1 handicap and Blackburn to score against Derby ))
Do you agree with last 2 predictions, Jordan ? ))

Just putting this up now for tomorrow morning.

    CONCACAF Champions League – 3:00AM

    LA Galaxy WIN @ 13/10 @ Bwin – 1 point

    • Jordan 3 years ago

Santos Laguna have drastically fallen behind in Mexico in recent years selling their best players to other clubs and not replacing them very well. They would have done a fair bit of travelling over the past week with an away game in Mexico City on Sunday, and now a trip to LA to face the Galaxy. I’m only risking a point on this because like Seattle yesterday, its the Galaxies first competitive fixture this year, but the talent should be too much for the Mexicans who have not kept a clean sheet away from home this season. If you want to take the 1.5 Galaxy goals that would be my NB but @ 13/10 for the win, I’ll risk a point. Seattle went full strength last night and I’d expect LA to do the same. Keane, Dos Santos, Zardes and Gerrard should all start, with maybe their new faces in Ashley Cole and Nigel De Jong.

Get in Braga!! Just try and hold the lead this time…..70% possession, don’t let it slip again…..

  9. niwintz 3 years ago

Can’t see past City tonight, strong team put out and with Kiev not playing competitively for 11 weeks it should be straight forward enough.

  10. robertc 3 years ago

Quality from Yaya there….one up City

  11. Jordan 3 years ago

2-0 City, double chance looks ok there. Cover is PSV to win. Letting it run.

City Ht/Ft 23/10 absolute banker,Athletic madrid to win in the 2nd half i think jordan.

  12. robertc 3 years ago

Letting it run here too. Watching the PSV game; very cagey, only one good chance which Griezmann fluffed one on one.

If that had gone in I’d be feeling safe as houses…..

  13. Jordan 3 years ago

PSV red. Can cover @ 20/1 @ Bet Victor. Won’t bother.

  14. robertc 3 years ago

The PSV sending off helps us…..shame Kiev pulled one back though…..

  15. robertc 3 years ago

I’m going all the way here mate, not covering

  16. Jordan 3 years ago

PSV now 60/1 @ Coral. I’m not covering but I won’t feel too good if PSV do score haha

  17. robertc 3 years ago

    Phew……job done ?

Thanks again mate. Hibs crushed my other bet tonight.

On to LA for the overnight….

    • Jordan 3 years ago

I shat myself! Heard the whistle noise on 365 and thought PSV had won a penalty hahaha. No worries Rob.

  18. robertc 3 years ago

Haha Braga felt dodgier earlier on to me, thought that was slipping away at one point.

They seemed so comfy one down but as soon as they went level they seemed to not know how to play it.

    Alls well that ends well.

Just LA later or anything else take your fancy mate?

    • Jordan 3 years ago

I did say Braga will probably be the dodgiest as they didn’t need to win.

No mate. Only a small interest in LA to be honest but just fancy them to get the better of Santos with the squad they have. Could be wrong of course.

  19. robertc 3 years ago

Amazing when you see the names they’ve got in their squad nowadays, MLS is gonna be a lot of fun this year.

    • Jordan 3 years ago

Hopefully mate. It was very profitable last year. I also posted on the main thread today that I’m going to follow the Chinese Super League a lot more this season . Crazy amount of players over there now against poor defence.

    Cheers @jordan! Great tipping again.
