Expert football pools betting tips

Looking to maximise your football pools betting success this weekend? Score draws could be your golden ticket to winning big, in the same way as our EFL betting tips! These exciting matches – where both teams find the net but ultimately share the spoils – are the holy grail of pools betting. How so?

Well, the beauty of score draws lies in their point-scoring potential:

  • Score draw: 3 points
  • No-score draw (0-0): 2 points
  • Home or away win: 1 points

As you can see, score draws produce the greatest number of points when engaging in weekend football pools. But which games should you consider?

Our expert football pools betting tips

With an exciting weekend of English football ahead, we've identified five promising matches for potential score draws:

Brentford vs Ipswich (Premier League)

Brentford and Ipswich are both struggling this season, and we feel the lack of confidence in both sides could produce a score draw. For starters, Brentford have scored at least one goal in their last eight matches in all competitions. As for Ipswich, three of their last six games in the Premier League have resulted in score draws.

This automatically makes the game a solid choice for football pools betting this weekend! Additionally, two of the last five meetings between these two have finished in score draws.

Brighton vs Wolves (Premier League)

Wolves have managed to score at least one goal in their last nine games across all competitions. Therefore, don’t let their position in the Premier League fool you into thinking the result of this one is a given. That said, Brighton and Wolves played in the EFL Cup recently, which finished in a very tight 3-2 victory for the hosts.

This shows that goals are very likely in this game, and we think that Wolves could hold Brighton to a draw if they bring their A-game.

Everton vs Fulham (Premier League)

The third of our pools betting tips this weekend focuses on Everton vs Fulham. The hosts are now in 16th place following a string of solid results, and they’ve scored five goals in their last four league games. Fulham, on the other hand, have found the back of the net at least once in nine successive games across all competitions.

Subsequently, we believe it’s very likely that this game could finish as a score draw!

Bristol City vs Leeds (Championship)

Moving to the Championship now, we’ve got an exciting contest on the cards between Bristol City and Leeds. The Whites are in some of the finest form of any team in the division, scoring 12 goals in their last 6 games. This includes several high-scoring affairs on the road. As for Bristol City, three of their last five league games have ended in score draws.

Bristol City have been particularly good at reducing the damage, so to speak, when playing at home, too. As a result, we think this is a great game to add to your weekend football pools as a possible score draw.

Coventry vs Luton Town (Championship)

For the last game this weekend, we are sticking with the EFL Championship. Only this time, we’ve chosen a game where both teams are desperate for points to avoid a relegation battle later in the season. That said, while Coventry and Luton aren’t in amazing form, this meeting could still be a score draw for several reasons.

Firstly, the last three consecutive meetings between these two have finished in score draws. And secondly, both teams have been finding the net consistently in their Championship matches. With these points in mind, we believe this could certainly end in a score draw.
