Celtic will look to bounce back from their Old Firm Derby defeat to Rangers later this afternoon when they take on St Mirren at Celtic Park.
Brendan Rodgers admitted before the match that he is ‘hurting' after the 3-0 loss at Ibrox on Thursday and he will be expecting his players to come out and put in a much better performance against St Mirren.
Despite the defeat earlier in the week, the Hoops are still in a commanding position in the Scottish Premiership. They lead Rangers by 11 points and barring a major collapse, they should still seal a record-equalling 55th Scottish Premiership title.
Ahead of Celtic vs St Mirren, here are three Celtic betting tips to feast your eyes on.
Which Celtic betting odds today offer the best value?
Daizen Maeda to score first (11/2)
Nobody in a Celtic shirt did themselves justice last weekend but one of their better players in the game proceeding the Ibrox horror shows has been Daizen Maeda. The Japanese forward has been a consistent player for the Bhoys ever since signing for the club and has found one of his goalscoring purple patches in recent week.
Maeda has scored in three of his last five appearances for the club and considering he was one of a few big names to avoid being hooked on Thursday, Rodgers is expected to keep faith in him today.
Celtic to score over 2.5 goals (4/7)
Celtic put in their worst performance of the season from an attacking point of view against Rangers, managing just one shot on target and accumulating an xG of just 0.07. However, we should consider that to be nothing more than a blip given their previous goalscoring form this season.
Celtic have scored three goals or more in each of their last four home league matches while they have also managed the same in each of their last three outings against St Mirren.
Celtic to take over 10.5 corners (9/4)
Celtic have been penning teams in their own 18-yard-box all season at Celtic Park and there is no reason to believe it will be any different. Across their last four home matches in the Scottish Premiership, Celtic have taken a total of 51 corners which works out an average of 12.75 per match.
In three of those four matches, they have taken 12 corners or more which makes the price of 9/4 for Celtic to take 11 corners or more very appealing.
