The French Open 2024 has reached its quarterfinals, with just eight contenders competing for the tournament title. Among the highly anticipated matchups is a clash between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Carlos Alcaraz on day 10.
World No 9 Tsitsipas had to fight hard to come back from a set down and defeat Matteo Arnaldi on Sunday. The 25-year-old also lost a set against Daniel Altmaier in the second round, but given the conditions at Roland-Garros, his campaign has been outstanding so far.
Tsitsipas won his third Monte-Carlo Masters title in April, indicating that he is at his best on clay at the moment.

World No 3 Carlos Alcaraz is improving with each round at Roland-Garros, defeating an injured Felix Auger-Aliassime in blazing straight sets on Sunday. The 21-year-old lost his first set of the tournament on Wednesday to Jesper de Jong, but he must maintain his present level if he is to extend his extraordinary winning streak over Stefanos Tsitsipas to 6-0.
