THE title race is over after Celtic's defeat of Aberdeen last week – so what bets are on offer to make the Premiership interesting for the rest of the season?
There is of course “the best of the rest market” which now sees Rangers as evens favourites ahead of Aberdeen.
Celtic are now no bigger than 1-40 to retain their crown having stormed nine points clear with a game in hand and they are 11-5 to win the Treble.
Inverness boss Richie Foran doesn’t think Celtic are too far ahead of the rest of Scottish football but bookies disagree with Ladbrokes McBookie.com offering just 5-1 the league leaders will go through the season without losing a game.
They are also giving 4-1 they will achieve more than 100 points and 5-4 they can score 100 goals.
McBookie spokesman Paul Petrie said: “Celtic are already nine points ahead at the top of the table and we can only see the gap getting bigger. Add in the fact they will be picking up a minimum of £26million for their Champions League exploits and it could get even harder for the rest of Scotland to catch up.”
Celtic are in action against Inverness today and aiming for their seventh home win in a row against the Highlanders.
They are short at a best 2-11 with Ladbrokes but seven of the last eight meetings at Parkhead have gone over 2.5 goals so try that at 4-9 with Coral. Six of eight have totalled at least four goals and pays 11-10 with Paddy Power.
Inverness have been in decent form but I don't see them stopping Brendan Rodgers's juggernaut so consider Celtic -1 at 8-15 with Paddy Power and Celtic to score three or more at 3-4 with Coral.
Rangers were better against Kilmarnock last week and are 7-10 at Betfred to win at a Ross County side that's lost four out of five in the league and conceded four goals three times.
This should be a convincing win for the Ibrox men who are 15-8 at Paddy Power minus one. Anyone who thinks Gers can emulate Motherwell, Celtic and Aberdeen by scoring four can have 6-1 at William Hill.
Best of today's other games should be Hearts v St Johnstone. The last three meetings at Tynecastle have produced 14 goals so there could be another spectacle.
Hearts should edge this and back the home win and over 2.5 match goals at 3-1 with bet365.
Dundee scrapped to victory at Hamilton to end a run of six defeats but I can see Motherwell winning at Dens. They are 41-18 at Marathonbet.
Killie's mini-revival ended at Ibrox and their home clash with Hamilton could be a nervy draw.
There are some big games in the Championship and best bets could be Dundee United at a QoS side who have failed to score in their last seven league encounters.
Queens lost 5-0 to Morton in their last home game and United are 17-10 at McBookie and Ladbrokes to make it five wins in a row.
Hibs are no bigger than 3-5 to avenge a home defeat to Ayr when they visit Somerset but it looks a little short.
Raith make the short trip to Fife rivals Dunfermline going for three wins on the spin. They should get it and are a best 7-4 at Marathonbet.
Morton will be on a high after a superb 3-1 against St Mirren midweek but I don't know how much they'll have left in the tank for a visit to Falkirk. A draw could be the call at 11-4 with Marathonbet.
St Mirren are without a win in 11 in the Championship and will expect to beat Dumbarton but I'm not sure. Best bet here could be both teams to score at 8-11 with Ladbrokes.
