THE second Grand Slam of the tennis season takes centre stage today as the French Open gets under way in Paris.
Top two seeds Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray are both going for their first French crown and lead the way in the betting with the Serb 10-11 at Betfair and the Scot 22-5 at Boylesports.
Roger Federer is a notable absentee after withdrawing with a back injury – the first Grand Slam he has missed this century – while king of clay Rafa Nadal is 11-2 at BetVictor to land his 10th Roland Garros title and defending champ Stan Wawrinka is a 14-1 chance at StanJames.
In the women's draw it's again a question of whether anyone can stop Serena Williams, the reigning champ and 5-2 title favourite at Skybet.

i think it might be because the NBA seasons are wrapping up and the finals are nearly here. True though not a lot of tennis guys here anymore. JohnB was doing great with his tennis tips not too long ago.

Red Sox should win tonight with the way they’ve been batting.
The only red flag for me is that in Bettis last outing he held the Cardinals to 1 run and 5 hits over 6.2 innings.
