SEPT 21: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

I'VE cast my net far and wide in bid to find some Wednesday night netbusters.

I'm starting with two Carling Cup ties that should produce goals. Cardiff and Leicester meet ahead of their weekend league encounter and both teams to score pays 8-13 with bet365.

Both teams are going well in the Championship have netted in each of their last six games. It has the look of a score draw.

Championship leaders Southampton have scored 18 in their last six games and face League One Preston who have banged in 14 during the same spell.

Their clash at St Mary's has the potential to be a high scorer and both teams to hit the target pays 4-6 with Skybet and Stan James.

Now to Italy where there is a busy night of Serie A football. My first pick is the Sicilian derby between Palermo and Cagliari.

This should be hard-fought and action-packed and in the last five meetings there have been 20 goals.

Palermo failed to score at Atalanta at the weekend but netted in their previous five while Cagliari have been on target in their last four. This one pays 4-6 at bodog and Coral.

Another Serie A clash that should see plenty of goals is Chievo v Napoli. I was impressed with Napoli's display against Man City in the Champions League and and in their last matches both teams have scored.

Chievo have netted six in their last three without keeping a clean sheet and both teams to score in this one pays 19-20 at William Hill.

Finally I'm going to France and focusing Sochaux v Rennes. Both sides played out score draws at the weekend and Rennes have looked a decent side while finding their feet in the Europa League. Both to score pays 10-11 with William Hill.
