MAN CITY have a chance to put down a marker to their title rivals when they entertain Swansea at home tonight.

Roberto Mancini watched Arsenal and Chelsea drop points before Man United edged out Man City with a late winner.

Big-spending City are expected to beat the Swans with plenty to spare and it's certainly the toughest of starts for Roberto Martinez's men.

They are as big as 12-1 outsiders and won't be well backed while the draw is 5-1 at totesport.

City are a best 3-10 with Coral and although it looks a bit short I can't see anything but a home win.

There is no doubt Mancini's men could turn over the new boys at their best but last season they often scraped victories at home despite dominating play.

I reckon they will win by at least two and you can have City minus one at 3-4 with Stan James while Paddy Power go 2-1 for a triumph by three or more. If you think City will labour it's 11-4 with Skybet to win by one.

New £38million Sergio Aguero won't start so consider Edin Dzeko to score first. He's had a decent pre-season and is a great bet at 4-1 with with Betfred to score first.

Meanwhile, Man Utd have been cut from 13-8 to 5-4 by Ladbrokes to win the title after their
2-1 win at the Hawthorns. Chelsea are 11-4 with Man City 4-1, Liverpool 11-1 and Arsenal 12-1.

Recommendations

  • Man City -1 (3-4, Stan James)
  • Dzeko to score first (4-1, Betfred)
