Hungary are set to take on Germany in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday, 19 November in a match that is now little more than a dead rubber.
Germany have already secured top spot in League A, Group Three after their resounding 7-0 win over Bosnia on Saturday so their attention will now be on building momentum ahead of the knockout stages in March.
Hungary, meanwhile, are locked into third position after their defeat to the Netherlands. They now have a playoff to look forward to where their Group A status will be under threat.
How the bookies view it: The visitors start as favourites
Germany are being backed to pick up another win on Tuesday night which shouldn't come as a huge shock given their huge win earlier in the week. Betfred have priced a Hungary win at 11/2 while a victory for Germany has been priced at 1/2. The draw, which would ensure Germany finish the campaign unbeaten, has been priced at 10/3.
Recent head-to-head: Advantage Germany
Germany don't need any extra confidence coming into this one but if they are looking for any further good omens, then their recent record against Hungary is certainly one. They have won each of their last two matches against Hungary and have lost just one of the last seven. Interstingly, Hungary have never defeated the Germans before on home soil.
Players to watch: An intriguing midfield battle
In years gone by, Germany have gone into the vast majority of their matches safe in the knowledge that had a better midfield than their opponents. However, after Ilkay Gundogan and Toni Kroos both called time on their international careers in the summer, they have been left a little short in the engine room.
With younger options few and far between, 30-year-old Robert Andrich will likely be paired with 33-year-old Pascal Gross in the middle of the park for the Germans and both men will have to deal with the tricky and talented, Dominik Szoboszlai who will be Hungary's biggest threat on the night.
The Liverpool midfielder is yet to show his best form in England but there is no denying that his wicked ball-striking ability could be a problem on Tuesday night. Szoboszlai is the Hungary skipper and has scored two goals in his last two outings for his country.
Predicted line-ups
Germany's win over Bosnia wasn't all positive as they did pick up an injury to Joshua Kimmich during the match that has ruled him out of this one. Jonathan Tah will also miss out due to suspension. Hungary will be without Milos Kerkez after the full-back pulled out of the squad but they do welcome back Attila Fiola after suspension.
Hungary: Dibusz – Fiola, Orban, Dardai – Bolla, A.Nagy, Schafer, Z.Nagy – Szoboszlai, Varga, Csoboth
Germany: Nubel – Henrichs, Koch, Schlotterbeck, Gosens – Nmecha, Andrich – Gnabry, Brandt, Sane – Kleindienst

They have scored 17 goals across their first five matches which works out an average of more than three goals per match. Germany to score over 2.5 goals on Tuesday has been priced at 13/8 by Betfred.
