SUNDAY threw up a series of shocks as Arsenal, Liverpool and Rangers all suffered title jitters and crashed to defeats when heavy odds-on favourites.
The bookies would have been rubbing their hands but it’s a much quieter day on the punting front in the UK with only Chelsea v Everton to bet on.
The Toffees desperately need points in their battle against the drop and have picked up a little of late, collecting four points from their last two games against Newcastle and Burnley.
Chelsea remain a work in progress and couldn’t find a way to beat rock-bottom Sheffield United last time out. But the Blues have still only lost once in their last 11 games – and that defeat came in the Carabao Cup Final to Liverpool when Virgil van Dijk scored right at the end of extra-time.

Everton will try to knock Chelsea out of their stride and look good value at evens (Bet365) for most cards.
There’s some action in Spain too as miserly Valencia bid to grind out a win away to Osasuna. Valencia’s last four games have produced just three goals in total but Osasuna have netted five in their last two against Real Madrid and Almeria.
It’s probably best steering clear of the goals market and the HT draw looks a good shout (19/20, Unibet) in what should be a close game.

If I was looking at one of these games as a single I’d be taking the Valerenga 2 game of over 3.5mgs @ 1/1 , but I can’t help shake the feeling I’d have been happier taking it at something more than evens. Normally the first legs are the cagey ones and then the second legs tend to be more open games with teams chasing results. Nothing untoward here – I just can’t see anything but goals in the second legs.

My opinion is Arteta goes to Germany and parks ze bus akin to the City game at City.
