The Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone, an area covering 5 degrees north and 5 degrees south of the equator, more commonly known as the Doldrums, is best avoided by sailors for fear that its windless, hot, and humid weather could stall sailing ships for weeks. Welcome to the footballing equivalent of the Doldrums!
We're somewhere in the middle of the off-season at the moment and yesterday marked the return to training for many clubs, so we're not far away from the serious stuff starting over again.
But short of women's international matches there's not much on for us footie fans over the next couple of days but Greg has found a Bet of the Day for us in Sweden's Superettan where he likes the look of league leaders Halmstad and has found a 10/11 angle in their match versus Trelleborg.
That aside it's all about tennis, racing and a bit of golf today.
Tennis Betting
It was a good opening day for the British at SW19 as fans' favourites Andy Murray and Emma Raducana both safely navigated their way into the second round. Cameron Norrie also secured his place in the next round with a win over Spain's Pablo Andujar while Novak Djokovic triumphed in an entertaining match with Kwon Soon-woo as he chases down a fourth successive title.
The Ace called Miomir Kecmanovic's win correctly on Day One but fell one game short on the Over 36.5 total games to miss out on his 7/4 tip. Day Two sees him home in on the former US Open champions Sloane Stephens who begins her quest for Wimbledon success with a tie against Zheng Qinwen.
Racing Tips
A short-priced favourite at Brighton is the NAP for Rizzel and he also has an EW play at Chepstow's night meeting.
Golf Tips
The Caddy stole all the headlines once again at the weekend and he'll be aiming to make it a hat-trick of wins when he posts his tips for the week ahead. They should drop sometime today so make sure you keep an eye out for them to get the early value.
As always, let us know your tips and predictions for today in the comments section below and good luck with all your bets!
Has anyone signed up to any gambla subscriptions? I’m thinking of signing up to one of them. I just wanted to know if it worth doing so, any information on this please I be grateful. Thanks
I lost a lot of money paying someone for tips, I’d be very careful and I’d say there’s a few great tipsters here who generously share their tips for free.
Which subscription are you thinking of trying? Greg was a long-standing community member here before joining the Gambla team. I know from experience his tips are spot on. Many would agree.
As a general rule Geo, I would agree with Foxwalker. There are so many charlatans out there only too willing to take your hard earned. I have been a part of this community for many years now and if you follow it daily, you will soon learn there are some amazing tipsters on here, who give their time and information for free…
However, what I would say, is that having been on here so long and having had lots of years of following Greg Browning, he is simply different gravy…there are few tipsters of his calibre around. I subscribed to Greg’s service (now in its second year) and am more than happy. He’s a decent bloke with a huge amount footballing knowledge. It’s entirely up to you, what you choose to do, but personally I couldn’t recommend him more highly.
From my point of view I would not pay anybody for tips . If it was that easy we would all be rich .
You have to bear in mind tho that irrespective of how much studying/research anyone does for betting, ultimately its the performances of the selections that determines whether your bet succeeds
its not the abilities/opinions of the tipster that governs success/ failure
Need to stress that this is not a post of criticism, its only a post of actual fact..
Thanks for the feedback everyone. Haven’t been on here long just wanted to know the opinions. I have seen a lot of great tips posted on the site.
Good points. But cockerspaniel is completely wrong. It’s not easy but if you have the connections, the relationships with influential people eg trainers, owners, the yards it’s certainly easier.
