The selection yesterday was a big drifted, as he doubled in price. That alone gave the impression that is wasn't about yesterday's race, as he was clearly not ready, but more for his next assignments in the near future.
Hexham 1:50
This race is full of horses who are not in form, and are now attractively weighted horses, but are very dangerous to back unless you're in the know and have spoken to the trainer. There is always a possibility that they will bounce back to form, but I will be ignoring those and siding with an unexposed runner in, WITHOUT CONVICTION. This horse made an eye-catching chase debut, and can build on that run now he is running over a longer trip which will suit.
His chase debut was a bit of a farce. By that I mean that if you weren't up with the pace, you had little to no chance of winning, and the selection struggled to get involved after being positioned in the midfield. Despite that, he should the ability he has over these obstacles as he jumped well, and he showed he has stamina in abundance over the minimum trip as he was motoring home after he jumped the last. He is a previous PTP runner-up, so he has stayed 3m in the past, so this step up to 2m 4f will bring out improvement in him, plus the fact the ground is going to be testing, should make it a real test, which I'm hoping he'll enjoy more than the others, having the stamina for even further. Lucinda Russell remains in top form, so I wouldn't have any worries about this lad, she is currently operating at a 26% SR in the last fortnight.
There are a couple of other unexposed types, including Shake The King who make his chase and stable debut for Sandy Thomson. He has the frame for a chaser and has always looked like one, but the way in which he jumped hurdles, I'd be a little wary of him on chase debut and on the back of an absence. He has been well found in the market, and is definitely too short of a price now, and can be opposed in my opinion.
Lingfield 2:30
This horse is probably a little shorter than I was hoping for, but GRAND TURINA‘s chances of winning is there for all to see, as I do think he would've won quite cosily last time at Wetherby if he didn't fall in the last few furlongs. They've dropped him back in trip, and I don't think that necessarily a bad thing, as he was travelling through his race very strongly, and today's testing conditions will make it more of a stamina test so the fact he stays further is a definite positive.
It's weird to say, but his last run was a career best, and that was with him falling. It's weird to say that because he fell, but also he is a 10yo, and he shouldn't be improving, but he is. Ned Fox is probably a reason for that, as he does claim 10lbs, and that is always going to be a big help, especially in conditions like today. They've not rushed him back into racing after his unseat, as he's had 25 days between races. Thankfully, the handicapper didn't put him any weight, which is the correct decision, as it was too hard to say what would've happened. In a veterans' race like this, horses are coming into this race as they come down the handicap as they enter their twilight part of their career, but the opposite can be said about this lad, and he deserves to be the favourite, and I believe he will finally break his maiden tag over fences.

R8…California Cible. 5/2(*** backed this last time and won easily and more improvement on for a slightly better race)

Jauo The Magic man’ Moreria who was probably the favourite for the jockey challenge and one of best in world is on 2 winners already.
I’ve took they prices from Skybet but I’m on with Bet365 as they do best odds but they do decimals for price purposes.
In fact I’m taking the R/fc in R9 with Fa Fa and Zebrowski as it paid off last week to £28 back for similar prices.

Well done all with winners rhubarb coming of my tracker now
22/1 Ew nearly won it in the US last night but 1/4 in my Yankee with a small single made it a so so night.
Hopefully better tonight and 2 from y tracker.
1 early 1 I’ll surely be watching via a replay tomorrow in the Trixie.
🇺🇸🐎 Trixie and single with a possible bets on the others but I’ll advise this…
Turf Paradise-R5…Bella Back. 6/4 (***** won 7/9 and I’ve been on a few times but missed its last run, watching it back and look at the race it’ll take something from the opposition to beat him)
Philadelphia-R9…Magic Micheal 6/4(*** on a hatter after 2 nice wins and only slightly better opposition)
Charles Town-R1…Ruling. 13/8(**** up against a good favourite but was hampered twice in running last time yet still won so a clear run he should win again)
GL and well done the winners today! 👌

I said a few days ago about BASS/BAILEY and they gave us a decent winner a few days ago, in the 12.50 Warwick KYNTARA 3/1 has had a fair bit of attention, he opened around 6s and given todays plan of action, we’re on. He has 3 others all at prices which are perhaps worth a look.
LITTLE RIVER BRAY is on an upward trajectory winning 5 of his last 6, 2-2 chasing, in all honesty I do expect him to fall short today as it’s a decent step up in class. At the price against these rivals he is by no means my type of bet but we aren’t risking anything substantial. It might be an idea to chuck him into a place acca with Kyntara and some others from the thread.
In the first at Warwick, KING/CANNON have a newcomer. It’s hard to justify betting on VAZIR 6/1 ew but they are dons of the game and I don’t mind going for it. The 10/11f was 8/13 last night, STDs had one 2nd from 4 rides for the trainer but they have all been outsiders.
With The Ashes just starting, funnily enough STOKES 4/1 is in the 12.10 at Newcastle. I have had many winners betting on topical horses over the years and that is literally my reasoning for this selection, however the cricketer has just ‘pulled up’ so that’s a bad omen. He won a bumper on debut 633 days ago and hasn’t been seen since. He represents a decent combination and despite a 5/4f it does not look the deepest of races. We cannot take anything from the race, but the 3rd has won 5 of his last 6 now rated 133.
I had steak for tea last night and in the 12.40 Ribeye is running… I’m joking, WHEELBAHRI 10/1 ew is actually the one I will chance. There isn’t much to like and admittedly, this reasoning doesn’t typically pay, but the combo had a winner together yesterday and at an EW price, I think we can chance presuming our stake is one we can stomach losing.
SUE SMITH had two good winners yesterday and has a 15% strike rate at Newcastle. Frimeur De Lancray 10/1 has not taken to chasing so far but is 18 below his hurdles win. I am not expecting lightning to strike twice but pennies will be on CERENDIPITY 20/1 ew in the bumper, and she’s had a few double priced winners in these here over the years. I was lucky enough to be on JUST JESS at 22/1 yesterday, it saw money late going off at 14s so late market support could be telling.
I have no looked at rivals here and do not be tempted by my recent results to go heavy.
I see a couple mentions for ANNIES PRAYER, good combo last year, my Aunt Annie got the all clear from cancer yesterday so it’d be a well named winner, best of luck.
