The drop in class could be enough to see SHAQEEQA win her second race. She won her only race when she was last seen in a Class 6 race.
The daughter of Dawn Approach seems to enjoy Lingfield. She has raced at the track three times, and she has produced two good efforts. You can make excuses for her first run at this track, as it was on the back of a 83 day break, and she was held up, which we now know isn't the way to ride her. Since then, she has generally been made to front run, and it has resulted in better performances. Mark Crehan rode her to her first win; that was off a mark of 66, which is 2lb heavier than she is today, and Mark gets back onboard for the first time since they won together.
From stall 6 she has a good chance of getting to the front, if she breaks well, which she normally does. If she gets an uncontested lead then she could be hard to peg back. As we've seen many times before, Lingfield does tend to benefit the horses who are setting the pace, or horses who are close to it.
Ironside is an interesting runner in this race, as you don't often see a Godolphin owned horse run in a Class 6 race. However, though he might be popular due to the connections of the horse, and his pedigree, I couldn't touch him based on what we've seen of him. I thought the one who would be the main rival to Shaqeeqa would be Easy To Dream who has been running well in recent runs.

Though he is a much shorter price than I'd hope for, I still think DAYEM is worth a bet. I thought he was a big eye-catcher on his debut at Bath, where he finished third, with Poderoso finishing second that day. He made up a lot of ground towards the end of the race, and it looked like he would come on plenty for the racecourse experience.
2yo races at this time of year aren't generally my cup of tea, as you often have a lot of unraced horses and these races can easily be a banana skin. However, Dayem has got a nice stall, and should be able to get a prominent position, which will probably be behind the Archie Watson newcomer as his 2yo horses like to run from the front. With the experience under his belt, I think he will be able to reverse the form with Poderoso, especially over this distance which looked to suit. As for the Archie Watson newcomer, his pedigree suggests he'll need further, so I'd be surprised if he was winning on debut over this trip.
