IT’S so tight at the top and bottom of the Premier League that almost every game counts for something.
Take tonight’s games for example. Two feature four teams still fighting the drop while leaders Man United are in action at home to Stoke. Promoted sides such as Blackpool and West Brom have started the season so well William Hill offer just 4-7 they and Championship winners Newcastle all stay up and 100-1 the trio are relegated.
All three look on course for survival but with just seven points separating the bottom
12 none of these sides are safe yet.
Blackpool’s match at home to Birmingham tonight is massive with the Seasiders going nine points clear of Alex McLeish’s strugglers if they win.
Ian Holloway’s shocktroops have picked up just eight of their 25 points at home but you’ve got to fancy them against a side short of goals. Blackpool are a biggest 11-8 with Hills.
West Brom travel to a Fulham side needing to move up a gear if they want to escape trouble. The Baggies could still be hurting after blowing the chance of victory against Man United.
Fulham have Andrew Johnson back and he could grab the first goal at 13-2 with Paddy Power.
Mark Hughes’ men won at Stoke last week and were unlucky to lose to Spurs at the weekend so they could edge this one at 6-5 with Paddy Power and Hills.
Hills make the Man Utd v Stoke clash evens to be the highest scoring tonight but I'd be on Blackpool v Birmingham at 7-4 ahead of Fulham v West Brom at 5-2.
Wolves are 8-15 with Coral to be relegated while it’s 11-10 Wigan with Hills and 6-5 West Ham at Coral. Fulham and Birmingham are 11-4 with Hills while Blackpool and Blackburn are 4-1 at bet365.
West Brom and Villa are 9-2 with Stan James and Newcastle 13-2 at the same firm.
At the other end of the table United are evens for the title with Hills and Paddy Power and a best 3-10 with Chandler and bet365 to sink Stoke.
Wayne Rooney is injured after finding his scoring touch so United will look to Dimitar Berbatov for goals. He is 7-2 with bet365 to bag the opener and it could be 1-0 United
(7-1, Coral).
Bet365 go 9-1 the three Midlands sides are relegated while Stoke are 5-4 to be the highest finishing side from that area. It's 7-2 none go down, 10-11 for one and 11-4 for two
Any Midlands side to finish bottom pays 6-5 while for top outfit it's 7-4 Villa, 9-2 West Brom, 7-1 Birmingham and 50-1 Wolves.
SUPER SINGLE
- Blackpool (11-8, William Hill)
BONKERS BET
- Man Utd 1, Stoke 0 (7-1, Coral)
