With selections from Kempton Park and from Musselburgh, Alan Thomson has three racing tips to kick off the week in profit.
CULTURE DE SIVOLA (2.05) returns to the scene of her course and distance victory at Kempton's Christmas fixture and may have a fitness edge over favourite Annie Mc.
Nick Williams gave her a spin at Uttoxeter last month when finishing third at a big price when totally unsupported in the betting market. Annie Mc landed the valuable Mares' Hurdle at Newbury in the spring and rates an obvious threat.
THOMAS DARBY (1.30) let down his odds-on backers on chasing debut at Warwick, failing to reel in Dan Skelton's Maire Banrigh (pair clear) and will again be a short price in the Beginners' Chase. Thomas Darby chased home Klassical Dream in last season's Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham and it is surely only a matter of time before he makes his mark over fences.
On a moderate card at Musselburgh, REMEMBER THE DAYS (3.00) is worth an interest. He lacked a change of gear on the Flat but still ran creditably through the summer months for Jedd O’Keeffe. The five-year-old scored over hurdles at Doncaster last December and may be good enough to defy top weight in a modest handicap hurdle.
