Sunday: Stoke v Arsenal (1.30pm), Liverpool v Man City (4pm)
LIVERPOOL didn’t make the best of starts under Brendan Rodgers as they crashed 3-0 at West Brom and lost defender Daniel Agger.
They weren't much better against Hearts in midweek as a weakened side won 1-0.
But you can be sure they'll be much improved for Rodgers' Anfield bow as champions Manchester City come to town.
City themselves were lucky to beat Southampton on day one and crucially lost Sergio Aguero to injury so both can do better.
If there's going to be a winner it's probably Roberto Mancini's men at a biggest 7-5 while Liverpool are 21-10 at bet365.
However, best bet could be a draw that pays 5-2 with Stan James and this has been the outcome in four of the last five meetings between the two on Merseyside.
The last Anfield league encounter ended 1-1 and there's a chance of it being repeated at
11-2 with Skybet.
For first scorer I'd look at City's Carlos Tevez at 6-1 (various) or Anfield talisman Steven Gerrard at 10-1 (various). There have been a few penalties so far in the Premier League and they are likely to be the takers.
In the other Premier League game Arsenal travel to Stoke having failed to break down Sunderland last Saturday. They are 23-20 at Betfred to win but again I prefer the draw at 12-5 with bet365.
Stoke have won two and drawn one of four meetings with the Gunners in the Premier League at the Britannia so look tempting at 13-8 with Blue Square draw no bet. All four games have seen both sides score so look at that at 4-5 with bet365 and William Hill.
