AFTER the thrills and spills of Tuesday there's less to get our teeth into on Wednesday.

I've tipped up the Champions League ties elsewhere so I'll focus here on the domestic scene.

Spurs take on Stevenage in the FA Cup with boss Harry Redknapp looking for a win that will detract from his status as favourite to be next England boss.

The White Hart Lane men haven't won since Redknapp was put in pole position to replace Fabio Capello. The rot started with a 0-0 draw at Stevenage then set in with defeats to Arsenal and Man United.

But surely Redknapp will get his men back on track for a trophy they stand a good chance of winning with a routine win over the League Two side.

Bookies certainly think so and Spurs are no bigger than 2-9 at BetVictor to win in 90 minutes with Stevenage as big as 16-1 at BetVictor.

I reckon Redknapp's men will get the job done style so consider them at 4-7 with Skybet -1. Jermain Defoe is likely to be handed a rare start and is 10-3 at Betfred to score first.

There are two games in the Championship and I fancy homes in both. West Ham are unbeaten in five since a 5-1 hammering at Ipswich and beginning to play like champions-elect.

Sam Allardyce strengthened the squad wisely in the window and they should take care of Watford at home. The Hammers are 3-5 with BetVictor.

Brighton meet Carling Cup runners-up Cardiff who looked shattered as they crashed 2-0 at home to West Ham at the weekend. It might take some time for Malky Mackay's sides pyschological scars to heal and Brighton can take advantage.

Gus Poyet's men are ticking along nicely, unbeaten in six in the league, and won 3-1 at Cardiff earlier in the season. I reckon they can complete the double at 13-8 with William Hill while Craig Mackail-Smith is worth a look to score first at 6-1 with bet365 after a run of goals.

Recommendations

Defoe to score first

(10-3, Betfred)

West Ham HT/FT

(13-10, boylesports)

Hamish, personally it’s too many selections for me but some are in my top tips and Catania was my text tip as I go for five out of six at prices of 6-4 and above.

i think juventus could struggle tonight at bologna, they drew with chievo at home at wknd and bologna seem to be doin quite good at the moment, not clued up on italian football tho but i’ve left that game out as 4/7 @hills isnt great odds.

Craig, I did say it wouldn’t be easy and you’re right the price is rubbish. But Juve are still unbeaten and Bologna have lost five at home.
