IT'S women's semi-final day at Wimbledon and even without the Williams sisters we have two cracking matches in store.

The best could be between title favourite Maria Sharapova and wild-card hopeful Sabine Lisicki.

Sharapova has powered her way to the last four with few difficulties and is a best 2-5 at Betfred to beat the German.

It's hard to see past the Russian as she targets a return to world No.1 and I can also see her winning 2-0 (11-10, bet365).

Sharapova is 10-3 at sportingbet to win 2-0 while Lisicki is 4-5 at Skybet to win at least one set.

The second semi is tougher to call but I'm going for fourth seed Victoria Azarenka to edge out Petra Kvitova.

Both put in impressive last-eight shows but Belarussian Azarenka looked formidable as she cruised through in straight sets.

She is a best 11-10 with Paddy Power while Kvitova is 5-6 with William Hill.

Recommendation

Sharapova 2-0

(11-10, bet365)
