ANDY MURRAY is a short-priced favourite to beat David Ferrer and clinch a place in the Wimbledon semi-finals.

The Scot is a biggest 4-9 with Ladbrokes, Paddy Power and Skybet but I can't see him getting an easy game against world No.5 David Ferrer who play away Juan Martin del Potro in the previous round.

Spanish star Ferrer is 2-1 at boylesports to win and it could be a match that goes the distance on Centre Court. I'm looking at world No.4 Murray to edge it 3-2 and that pays 6-1 at Stan James while 3-2 Ferrer is 9-1 with the same firm.

Only Novak Djokovic is ahead of the Scot in the outright betting and the Serbian world No.1 is odds on to retain his title. He should see off German Florian Mayer without too much trouble and 3-0 Djokovic pays 4-11 at unibet.

He's due to face Roger Federer in the semis and the Swiss, even with a sore back, is virtually unbackable to beat Mikhail Youzny. I like the look of 3-1 Fed at 11-4 with Coral.

The final tie between Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Philipp Kohlschreiber could be closely fought and possibly a five-setter. I'm on French start Tsonga and it could be 3-2 at 13-2 with sportingbet.

Recommendations

Djokovic 3-0
(4-11, unibet)

Murray 3-2
(6-1, Stan James)

Is there any reason why u cant put a straight forecast on? Like putting on djokovic to beat murray in the final. Opened an account with bet365 today after winning a free bet on super single in euro final. I dont like having too many accounts even tho i know it makes sense when after best price. The thing is im a sucker for a free bet so when i get an email/text offering me a freebie on a certain market i almost always take it so i try to keep my betting accounts to a minimum. Glad it was bet365 tho as id been thinking about it for a while cos of dd hh promotion. I’ll see how it goes.

Joe, I’m sure some bookies will have priced up final outcomes but if that’s what you fancy simply take Djokovic to win the title before he plays today.

Ive already taken djokovic serena double. I was trying to see if i could get a bit more value from a straight forecast.

Joe, I’m sure it was priced up at the start but I don’t see anyone doing it at the moment. I’m with you on Djokovic and Williams but have Murray and Radwanska each way.

Double for tomorrow – Serena to win 2-0 and 3 sets in kerber v radwanska 11/8 and 11/10. Just under 4/1 for dble.

Joe, I was thinking Williams to win in three and I agree with you about three sets in Kerber v Radwanska but tough to pick a winner from that one. A Williams v Radwanska would be perfect for my bets but I think Kerber could make it.
