Wednesday’s football tips: Forest star Anderson a tempting 7/4 to test the Betis keeper

Nottingham Forest make their long-awaited return to the European arena tonight with a tricky Europa League opener away to Real Betis.

The two-time European Cup winners haven't played a continental tie since losing to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Cup quarter-finals way back in 1996.

But owner Angelos Marinakis will still be looking for them to make a big impact after hiring Ange Postecoglou, the man who led Spurs to Europa League glory last term.

Postecoglou is still looking for his first win since taking charge, having presided over two defeats and a draw so far.

They put in an improved performance away to Burnley at the weekend and will need to step it up once more against a Betis side who reached last season's Conference League Final.

Red Star are flying in the Serbian league, with seven wins from seven, while the Hoops are also undefeated domestically, with six victories from seven.

It points to a close game and the half-time draw appeals at 23/20, with that bet landing in Celtic's last five away games in Europe.

Red Star's Aleksandar Katai is flying this season, netting 12 times in 13 games, and looks a bit overpriced at 5/2 for anytime scorer tonight.
