Both teams have been grinding out wins on their march to the last four instead of blowing teams away so it's a tricky one to call.

Lionel Messi's magic has been keeping Argentina's title defence on track but they now face a Three Lions side desperate to reach their first final since lifting the trophy in 1966.

England vs Argentina top betting tips

England fans are feeling pretty confident about their chances of reaching the showpiece and Bet365 have Thomas Tuchel's side as 8/11 favourites to march on, with Argentina 11/10 to go through.

That seems fair enough based on the holders' displays in the knockout stages, as they've only just scraped past Cape Verde, Egypt and Switzerland.

England haven't been that impressive either but Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane both seem to be at the top of their game. That should give them the edge and Kane looks good value at 7/5 for antyime scorer tonight. I'm going to play it a bit safer and back him to score or assist at 21/20 with Bet365.

The safest bet tonight could be backing a busy night for the officials on your World Cup betting apps. Argentina look good for most cards at 11/8 while midfielder Leandro Paredes is 11/5 to go into the book.

Sutjeska vs Kairat

There's a few Champions League qualifiers tonight and Kairat still have a bit of work to do away to Sutjeska.

The Kazakh champions reached the group stage last term but find themselves in a bit of peril after winning just 2-1 at home in last week's first leg.

It won't be easy for them in Montenegro and Sutjeska will be looking to turn the tie around back on home turf.

All three goals came in the final 14 minutes last week, with Kairat's winner arriving deep into stoppage time. That makes backing the half-time draw a good option tonight at 11/8 as Kairat try to hold on to their lead.

With the way last week's first leg played out, there could also be some value in backing Sutjeska in the double market at 11/10.

Attert Bissen vs KI Klaksvik

Attert Bissen are also looking to overturn a 2-1 deficit at home in the Champions League qualifiers tonight as they take on KI Klaksvik.

It looked like the Icelandic side would rack up a commanding lead when they went 2-0 up at home early in the second half last week.

But the team from Luxembourg refused to goal and pulled one back to give themselves a good chance heading into the second leg.

This is another tough one to call, although Bet365 make KI Klaksvik 3/10 favourites to qualify.

The home side will give it everything they have so there could be some value in backing Attert Bissen for a win on the night at 7/5.

It's probably safer backing a cagey match and under 2.5 goals is tempting at 11/10 with Bet365.

    England to miss a pen – 20/1 (b365)

my old friend Martinez is overdue a pen save and this would be the ultimate time to do it.
this tourney has seen quite a lot of pens missed, so I think it has a chance at a nice price.

Already on Bellingham to score at 3/1

I reckon this will be an epic, feisty affair. If England can expose the space left in behind Messi with some quick counters they might pick Argentina apart. Argentina are not a fast team, so cards/goals will feature.
