Scott Parker became the first manager to lose his job in the Premier League this season following a 9-0 mauling at the hands of Liverpool but there are one or two others for whom the knives are sharpening.
Steven Gerrard is one of the those. The Liverpool legend has presided over 15 league defeats since he took charge last November – only Everton, with 19 defeats, have a worse record in that time. That number should become 16 tonight following Aston Villa's visit to Arsenal.
The Gunners have made a brilliant start to the season, and look in good shape to take another three points at the Emirates. They're 9/20 to win, add two of more goals to take that to 8/11 on a BetBuilder.
That could push Gerrard closer to the exit door. He's currently 6/4 to be next manager to leave his position behind 5/4 favourite Brendan Rodgers.
Nottingham Forest have been splashing the cash since their promotion but they're still miles behind big-spenders like Manchester City. Such is the strength in depth at the Etihad that Erling Haaland could be rested tonight according to reports but there's so much quality in their squad that his absence would hardly be felt.
Liverpool may have stolen all the headlines at the weekend but City's comeback from 0-2 down to win 4-2 against Crystal Palace showed they're nowhere near ready to relinquish their crown.
They've scored four goals in two of their Premier League outings so far and it wouldn't be too much of a surprise if they did it again, especially if Haaland does start. Incredibly they're just 10/11 to do so, however you can have 21/20 with SBK on ‘any other score' which effectively requires them to win and score four or more. So look elsewehere for some value in the goals markets.
An early goal could be the way to go and it's 5/6 that one is scored inside the first 19:00 minutes. One inside 10 minutes pays 9/4 with Bet365 – this has happened in City's last two games – and two first half goals for City is even money.
For those of a certain age Liverpool v Newcastle evokes memories of some classic encounters, none moreso than the epic 4-3 win for the Reds back in 1996. We might not be guaranteed a thriller at Anfield tonight but it should be intriguing nonetheless. As an FYI, a 4-3 home win pays 80/1!
Newcastle racked up another draw at the weekend, maintaining their unbeaten start but they really need to start picking up wins if they're to be considered among the top tier teams in the league. They could be without Allan Saint-Maximin as well as Callum Wilson so their strikeforce will be limited tonight. That should hand Liverpool the edge and they can win while there's Over 2.5 goals scored at 3/4.
In Scotland Celtic begin their defence of the League Cup in Dingwall against Ross County. Ange Postecoglou has enjoyed a relatively placid start to the season with automatic Champions League group stage qualification meaning no nerve-jangling qualification matches and free midweeks, but that all changes tonight and the fixtures will come thick and fast from here on in.
That means he's likely to utilise his squad tonight so there could be scope to get on some fringe players to score. Giorgios Giakoumakis sat out Sunday's 9-0 win through illness but he's back training and likely to start. the Greek hitman has a brilliant goals to minutes ratio and is 1/1 (Skybet) to find the net once more tonight.
An outside bet to score is Tony Ralston. The full back scored a vital goal in the title race at Ross County last season and weighed in with five goals from his right-back position. He could come in for Josip Juranovic tonight and at 5/1 could be worth a small punt.
Hearts huffed and puffed their way to three points against St Johnstone on Sunday. Not at their best but still good enough to pick up the three points and the significantly stronger squad should be deciding factor against Kilmarnock tonight. Both sides will have more important games in the coming weeks so again fringe players will probably feature heavily. Double the Jambos up with Arsenal for a 6/4 Double.

🇧🇷 Sampaio take on leaders Cruzeiro and it’s sampaio home form that gives this a chance won 9 drawn 2 lost 1 and have scored in all 12 home games.
Cruzeiro top of the away standings but more inconsistent away.
Prediction 1-1 🇧🇷

Sticking with my headers

There was a header scored by both teams when they played a few weeks ago .
Though that will have no bearing whatsoever on tonight`s game .
Said it at the weekend if you get the like of salah Haaland and Kane evens or near enough then I think it’s a great bet
As they are always looking for goals. Haaland is 4/11 to net
Kane is 13/10 but a harder fixture away from home so I will be backing salah to net at 20/21 (now at 10/11)
Yes he got nothing at weekend in the 9-0 so I think that’ll make him even more determined to score against Newcastle.
As always good luck with your bets 👍
Worrall, Cook and McKenna all booked v Spurs, all better than 2/1 to be carded v Man City so you can back the three of them individually to be booked and only lose if none of them are
Can also throw in Brennan Johnson if you’re feeling spicy, booked in two out of 4 games but not sure the ball will be anywhere near him in this one
Man City v Nottingham Forest
Over 4 Asian goal line at 1.920
West Ham v Spurs

Bristol City v Huddersfield

There could be a few cards tonight for the Tricky Trees as they visit the Etihad too take on champions City.
Forest have collected 15 yellows in their first 4 games back in the top flight and should be much of the same tonight given the amount of possession City will enjoy.
Couple this with Mr Tierney being the man in the middle and we should see a few cards flashed at the visitors. Tierney has dished out 16 yellows & 2 reds in his first 3 outings in the EPL.
Too add to this City are averaging 8.5 corners per game at home and Forest conceding 8.5 corners per game away. City goals and corners with Forest cards seems the betbuilder to be on here
First post for me, having a do on these
#whatoddspaddy. City GIBH and 3+ Corners each half 13/10
#whatoddspaddy. Arsenal to score 2+ goals and 6+ Arsenal corners 6/4
Two singles and double is shade under 5/1
Good luck all… respect to Elvis and Hullshaker 🔥🔥🔥
Full round in Ligue 1 tonight, been great for goals so far averaging o2.5 per game after 4 rounds. 30 of the 39 games have seen BTTS land, 26 have been o2.5 goals and 34 over 1.5. Might be worth a shot at some goals accas across the 10 games.
Couple I have picked out that I think have a good chance though
Marseille & Lens both score 2+ 6/5
Montpellier v Ajaccio
O2.5 goals 13/10
O3.5 goals 10/3
O4.5 goals 8/1
Montpellier have seen 5,7,3,7 goals in 4 games so far. Scored 13, conceded 9. O2.5 has landed in 7 of 8 games involving these 2 so far this season, hoping for more of the same tonight
Good luck all
Also, a long shot in the Marseille game. Nuno Tavares has scored in 3 of 4 games and is 17/2 to score on Paddy. Marseille play with wingbacks pushing very high and seems to be suiting him so far. Certainly think you would be well up over the season if he stays at that price, is 10/3 elsewhere I’ve looked
Stoke btts
Blackpool over 0.5tgs
Double 11/10
Swedish cup btts treble
Ostersund
Osterlen
Vasalunds
Btts treble 3/1
Good luck
Beat the Drop. I have been playing Paddypower’s free Beat the Drop game where you start with 15 questions and £5000. I have gone all in so far (£5000 each time) and am up to question 9. If at this stage, I split this pot 50:50 for the next 7 questions I will end up with £39 in a week’s time.
However I am tempted to try and split say 80:20 or 70:30 where i am more confident about the questions to try and win / retain as much of the £5k as possible. Does anyone else play this and have a strategy once they get a reasonable way through the game ?
Tonight’s football questions are:
Stoke vs Swansea. Stoke to win y/n ?
Coventry / Preston btts y/n ?
Sampdoria vs Lazio. Sampdoria to win y/n ?
Angers vs Reims. 3 nor more goals in match y/n ?
Bournemouth vs Wolves. Each team to have 1+ corners in each half and 1+ shot on target in each half y/n ? (not sure I fancy this one much)
If anyone has any thoughts please share. Should i place a bet elsewhere to hedge ?
Thanks in advance.
Yes i play this never got that far tho.Out those questions i would go all in with the Coventry one or wait till questions come up that look more easy.
Thank Chelseagirl for the tip – that was the one I was going to plump for. If it wins I will be on £80, might have to start hedging then…
Senegalese youth grabbed 2 early goals then didn’t add anymore for the last hour – downed my picks!

Strasbourg – Nantes over 8,5 match corners odds 1.53
SHORT ANALYS Strasbourg – Nantes CORNERS BET
Strasbourg and Nantes are team wich produce many corners. I know STrasbourg for many yers and i often bet on corners when they are playng at home. In this period Strasboug produce more corners from one mAtch to other. Has increas his rate of corners.
In other side, Nantes had 4 corners witj PSG in Supercup and 4 corners at Marseille, eith obly 40 possesion.
Nantes is playng better and better and is in good shape.
STATISTICS of corners in last match away for NANTES
4 corner swith PSG in supercup
6 corners at Angers
4 corners at Marseile having only 44% posseion
Nantes in playng better and can win today.
Nantes or draw odd 1.85
Nantes DNB ODD 2.8
Nantes will take the lead and Strasbourg would run after 1 point, that why STrasbourg will produce more then 3 corners
I expect to be easly over 9,5 match corners odd 1.85

🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰 LONGSHOT 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰
BK Frem V Nordsjaelland
17:00
Danish Cup
BK FREM to score 5-2 SKYBET.
it’s what it says on the tin, a longshot.
2nd Division V super League, 2 leagues apart.
There is a form line that gives this a squeak.
Last September Nordsjaelland won 2-1 at 3rd division vsk Aarhus at this stage of the cup.
Frem were promoted from that league in 2nd place while vsk Aarhus finished 7 points behind frem in 3rd.
Frem played vsk Aarhus 4 times after Nordsjaelland beat vsk and won 2 and drew 2 all were BTTS.
In short if vsk scored v Nordsjaelland last year why not frem this year.
A similar result would be nice 🇩🇰

Took a punt at BTTS in the first half at 7’s 🤞

Gretna 2008 vs Rangers B
Over 4.5mgs @ 1/1 (bet365) Nap
Always fancy goals in the Rangers B games and even more so against a Gretna side who have conceded 22 goals in their six games so far, 14 in the two games against Rangers B last season. Don’t expect some of the B team players being involved last night to affect anything.
Good luck today 🤞

Plenty of goals again in France but not the right games for me. All bets down. Alexis Sanchez missed 87th min pen for Marseille, never liked that guy…

Well done all winners.. spursman what a belter
Well done to the squads who performed to land SlipsTips last night and Tonite as well
Relentless low key consistency again..
He gets paid for his tips so they should be winning!
Or could it be he,s not into desperate measures such as praising himself, or desperate measures of acknowledging praise, or rushing to get on and praise himself even before the guys who performed for him have even been on the Foam roller after their Event
Self Praise is NO Praise..
Correct but who praises themselves i don’t see many doing that.
I’ll bet you also Boabee that they have twitter accounts and give it big booms, they are the funny tipsters.Clueless.
he has been making these comments for months macca, each to their own and all that 👍.
He seems to have a gripe with those who celebrate their wins by reposting them.
Don’t see the harm but if it upsets him that much I for one will stop if it keeps the peace 😬
Please ignore him Elvis.
At the end of the day, all that matters are results – not only are your results superb, but they’ve helped make many of us quite a fair chunk of change.
If nothing else, reposting your results serves to demonstrate that with hard work & study, it is possible to consistently beat the bookies. Even if I missed one of your recommendations, it’s still great to see others have benefited.
There are a few tools on this site who contribute jack diddley. Just ignore them, mate 😉
Doesnt bother me Chris, maybe reposting the reasoning for a bet after the game could be deemed pointless and maybe just reposting the actual bet would be better.
Maybe he sees reposting as attention seeking, I don’t know, that’s the gist I get from his comments.
I see it like a football manager, if they lose they shake hands and skulk off down the tunnel.
If they win they shake hands and celebrate with their fans, bits called getting a buzz from winning.
Maybe I’m thinking too deep into this ☹️
If it was someone who posted tips regularly maybe his comment would have more creedence but hey ho on we go 🍷

Hi Elvis – did you post tips on the Copa already (your comment sounds like you have)? Had a quick scan & couldn’t see one of your legendary tips on it?
I could have missed it, and am being a right twit. 😁
No bet mate, they are 1st leg games and can be pretty cagey like last night’s..
It’s nice to watch a game without worrying about bets for a change.
I hope Velez win to stop the Brazilian domination and would be a bit of a David beating Goliath thing .
They are near the bottom of their league and have put all their eggs in this basket and beat some good sides but flamengo are so impressive in this Copa.
Should be a cracking atmosphere whatever.
My heart says 1-0 but my head says 0-1 or 1-1 so will probably be 3-3 😆
Red card possible like last night.
Macca has tipped a player to be carded so he is thinking that way ??
Makes sense. Yeah Macca tipped good old hothead Vidal to get carded, which looks likely in most games he’s in.
Bragantino RT9 corners 11/10
U23’s just went 1-0 to go 2-0 on aggregate. Parana just git their 2nd corner but worth ago a odds against for 3 corners in 40 mins compared to Parana 7
👍👍👍
While I’m on a bit of a rant, why can’t the Yanks EVER start one single MLS match on time?
Kick-off supposedly at midnight our time. Oh, balls to that. Let’s actually kick off at 12.20 (only 20 minutes late is considered good!)
Don’t they understand how clocks work? 🤣
They’d be fined in any other league.
Happens aw the time, starts at 00.00 or 04.00 doesn’t matter, always kicks off at least 20 mins late. Either they sing the national anthem 2 times each team or they’re waiting on the fatties getting back from tge hit dog stand….
Incidentally, if any of you chaps haven’t watched Ted Lasso yet, you really should 😉
Absolute awesome show. Can’t wait for season 3!
