Familiar foes Rangers and PSV Eindhoven go toe-to-toe for a place in the Champions League for the second year in a row.

PSV are eyeing revenge after the Glasgow giants prevailed 12 months ago with a 3-2 aggregate win, banking a small fortune at Europe’s top table.

Things looked bleak for the Gers after a 2-2 draw at Ibrox but Antonio Colak’s solitary goal at the Philips Stadion was enough to send the Gers through. A reminder that this tie won’t be over regardless of the result at Ibrox tonight.

PSV have made s strong start to the season, winning their opening two Eredivisie games, putting seven past Sturm Graz across two legs in Champions League qualifying and lifting the Dutch Super Cup in a 1-0 win over champions Feyenoord.

32-year-old Luuk De Jong will be the danger man for PSV, he’s already netted four times this season and will feel he’s got a score to settle from last season when he disappointed over two legs. New addition Noa Lang has also impressed since his arrival from Club Brugge but he remains an injury doubt for Peter Bosz’s men.

It’ll be a massive test for Michael Beale’s men who have yet to convince so far this season but a full house at Ibrox really can be like a 12th man on these European nights.

The bookies make PSV 2/5 favourites to qualify with Rangers at 7/4. The Dutchmen are also favourites to win in Glasgow tonight, priced up at 13/10 compared to 19/10 for the Gers who have drifted from 17/10.

Goals are usually guaranteed when Rangers play at this level, both for and against. Over 2.5 pays 7/10 and a repeat of last season’s first leg scoreline (2-2) would see Over 3.5 land at 13/8.

It would be remiss not to mention the 7/2 on James Tavernier to score. The Gers captain is deadly from the penalty spot and has an incredible scoring record in Europe.

Super Singles

  • Rangers v PSV – Over 3.5 Goals 13/8 Bet365
  • James Tavernier to score 7/2 Bet365

The Saudi Championship Manager League is already turning into a joke with the expensive buys…

Ittihad the champions,2 wins from 2 but still aint happy because other teams have signed more foreign hasbeens on crazy money than they have.

‘It is the right of the Ittihad Jeddah fans to be saddened by the team’s current technical state, but we must not forget that last year, these same players managed to win the league. There is a fierce campaign against the players, management, and the coach because of the arrival of international stars to other clubs.’

Money can buy you a lot of things in life but it wont buy them what they want….a top professional football league that people respect

Rant over for the day 😂

Aye when the Saudis say they have chopped a couple of players from their squad – it takes on a whole new meaning .

Only tennis play on the day is a winner but a frustrating night in the football. Should have been the clean sweep but a very harsh red card, against a player who arguably should have been sent off earlier, and a very strange Opta decision means only 1/4 is a winner. Still struggling to understand how they didn’t classify the Saka attempt in the 10th minute as a shot on target. Hoping they review but I doubt they will change it. The passes bet fails just a few short. Would have sailed in without the red given how little of the ball we had in the last 30 minutes.

    Purcell 2-0 + Purcell under 12.5 games (Bet builder 1.80, Bet365) ✅
    D Rice 65+ passes x W Saliba 65+ passes @ 1.95, Coral (NAP) ❌
    Eze 2+ Shots x Saka 2+ Shots @ 2.3, Boylesports (NB) ✅
Eze 1+ Shot on Target x Saka 1+ Shot on Target @ 2.87, Coral ❌
    Long Shot:
    Eze 2+ Shots x Saka 2+ Shots x Saka 1+ Shot on Target x Saliba 70+ passes x Rice 70 + passes @ 7.5, Coral ❌

    Well done all winners

It really is a minefield these bets mate. I needed a Saka shot on goal for a cracking betbuilder and the one you refer to was undoubtedly a dig at goal and not a cross, and then of course he is jockeys off pens to add insult to injury. Onwards 😞

      1
    • MJT 11 months ago

I know mate its very frustrating and I never for a minute thought he would be off pens. Loads of people on social media asking Opta to review so there may be a slim chance but unlikely.

The Enzo Fernandez tackles you had on Sunday was that for just 1 or 2?

    • ChrisBax 11 months ago

Yep guys. The bookie made a killing from Saka not having a SOT – caught me as well.

Saka not taking the penalty just added insult to injury!

      1
    • MJT 11 months ago

Yeah I noticed that Bet365 had a bet boost which lost thanks to the strange Opta decision. Probably explains that one!

      1
    • TheMaster 11 months ago

The Fernandes one was settled as a winner at 8pm when I complained to bet365 and Opta. They eventually gave the tackle right at the end as one, but we shouldn’t need to police them, it’s not on. The Saka one was a shot all day long, bad craic saying it’s a cross, it was going in ffs unless the keeper catches it!

      2
    • MJT 11 months ago

Yeah was going to say that Fernandez was marked down as 1 tackle not long after the match had finished.

Saka literally had almost an identical one last week which goes top corner. Just can’t understand how anyone can think that is not a shot.

    Morning gents,

Rare daytime pick from the ‘English’ Development League – the hosts games are seeing a pretty consistent recent level of goals and both sides can contribute…

    OVER 3.5 GOALS
    (23/20, bet365) ⭐️⭐️⭐️

    OVER 3.5 GOALS

    Newcastle v Liverpool (SUN)
Newcastle to win at 23/20 (NAP) double stake
Can’t believe the odds on a home win. Liverpool go to St James Park with no defensive midfielder (not a world class one anyway). Eddie Howe must be licking his lips. How can a club as big as Liverpool not have the right personnel or tools for the job if you like, it’s unforgivable. Newcastle are strong at home and with their attacking threat I feel we’ll get well beaten, if Liverpool walk away from this game with anything I’d be amazed and I certainly don’t think were in for low scorer either.
    Best of luck

I meant can’t as in, risky one. Liverpool don’t roll over for anyone

I had a look at liverpool or draw, but it’s abit short.

Liverpool over 1.5 team goals 11/10 would be the one to be on for me

      1
    • maccathered 11 months ago

Risky how the hell are we going to cope with defensive midfielders, Hendo and Fab would be 100% starters in this game we don’t have that now.

    • TheMaster 11 months ago

Trent is a doubt so that might help the defence 😂

      4
    • winners are grinners 11 months ago

Yeah is a worry, need to 100% sign a midfielder asap.

If becomes attack v attack, which it may have to. Liverpools attack is better than Newcastles

Shall see what the game brings, be a good game thats for sure

Did you not believe that the Geordie’s would beat Man City.🤔

    • maccathered 11 months ago

I did think the geordies would beat City, they lost 1-0. Newcastle at home are a different animal. It’s not a bad bet all imo but like they say good bets can lose and bad bets can win.

      ATP Winston-Salem
      M Purcell to beat E Ruusuvuori @ 2.63 Bet365
I can’t really understand why Purcell is such an underdog in this one. I thought he was a good price last night when the lines opened but it has increased which is surprising. I backed Purcell yesterday, albeit against a much poorer player, & I think this one will be close. Purcell had some great wins last week & based on recent matches I would trust him to hold serve more than Ruusuvuori in this one. May well be some tight sets/ tie breaks but at these odds I do feel Purcell is worth a small play.

Any thoughts on Rangers corners, chaps? (either 1st half or game)

    • TheMaster 11 months ago

Rangers corner counts have dropped massively mate now the full backs aren’t given as scope to bomb forward. I backed servette both legs to get more than Rangers, one at 4/1 and the other at 10/11 and they won. I think it might be more of the same tonight. Certainly think psv to score and over 3 corners and both teams to get a card at 7/4 with bet365 has a great chance.
