Tuesday’s football tips: Go for corners at Tynecastle as Hearts seek Sturm Graz miracle

Hearts need a Champions League miracle at Tynecastle tonight as they bid to overturn a 4-0 deficit in their second round qualifier with Sturm Graz.

Wouter Vrancken's first game in charge turned into a nightmare as poor finishing and dodgy defending saw the Jambos crash to a heavy defeat.

It now looks like they only have pride to play for but if the Jambos can get an early goal then fans may start to think it's not quite Mission Impossible.

I thought Sturm Graz would win quite comfortably in the first leg, given Hearts were trying to bed in so many new players under a fresh management team.

That's how it panned out, with the Austrians ruthlessly punishing mistakes in a game where the SPFL Premiership side actually had most possession and carved out some good chances.

Vrancken has only had another week to get his ideas across so it could pay to back Sturm Graz for another win at tempting odds of 27/10.

Shamrock Rovers vs Ararat Armenia

Irish side Shamrock Rovers are another side who need a rousing Champions League comeback at home as they bid to overturn a 2-0 deficit against Ararat Armenia.

I cashed in by backing Rovers to lose in last week's first leg but they're 17/20 favourites with Bet365 to win in the return.

Whether that's by a big enough margin to go through is another matter and I'd imagine Ararat will sit back and try to defend their lead.

That could see the Shamrock corner count rise and I like 11/10 available at Bet365 for over 9.5 match corners.

Rovers may need to show patience if they're to break down the Armenians and the half-time draw also stands a chance at 5/4 with Bet365.

Dinamo Zagreb vs Thun

Dinamo Zagreb have been Champions League regulars in the last decade and will fancy their chances of seeing of Thun to reach the next round of qualifiers.

Last week's first leg in Switzerland ended in a 1-1 draw and the Croatians now have the chance to finish the tie off back on home soil.

With their recent pedigree in Europe, it's no great surprise to see Dinamo Zagreb as Bet365's hot 19/50 favourites for a win inside 90 minutes.

Thun won't be pushovers though and they kicked off the new Swiss campaign with a 3-1 win on the road in Lausanne.

They also led for most of last week's first leg before conceding late on so I fancy BTTS tonight at evens with Bet365. Over 2.5 Dinamo goals also looks worth a punt at 6/4 with Bet365.
