The EFL Cup gets back underway tonight and the two last-16 ties see Championship clubs visit Premier League opposition.
This tournament often throws up a few shocks, with top-flight managers often prioritising league games ahead of a cup run, and it will be interesting to see what kind of team Southampton boss Russell Martin fields against Stoke City.
Martin was praised by Pep Guardiola for the way his side played at the Etihad on Saturday but Saints still lost 1-0 and prop up the pile.
With a huge game at home to Everton looming on Saturday, the St Mary's boss could rest a few players against a Stoke side who are struggling in the Championship.

Southampton v Stoke top betting tips
Stoke sit just a point above the drop zone in the second tier so boss Narcís Pelach might also make a few changes as he focuses on moving up the Championship table.
It's now four games without a win for Pelach's side so it's no surprise to see them as Betano's 19/4 outsiders. Their away form has been dismal, with blanks on their last four road trips, so a Saints win to nil might be worth a punt at 17/10.
Martin made plenty of changes in the last two rounds of the EFL Cup, with the likes of Maxwell Cornet and Lesley Ugochukwu given run-outs. If former Burnley winger Cornet gets another start tonight, he's 12/5 for a goal at Bet365 while midfielder Ugochukwu is 5/2 to have an effort on target.
Brentford vs Sheffield Wednesday top betting tips
Brentford reached the semi-finals of this tournament four years ago and will fancy their chances of a repeat if they can see off Sheffield Wednesday to reach the last eight.
The Bees have been brilliant at home this season, with five wins and a draw in their six games. That's why Betano make them 1/3 hot favourites tonight against a side from the second tier.
Sheffield Wednesday are in good form themselves and brought up one of Friday's Super Singles by winning at Portsmouth. That made it just one defeat in their last six games so they might make it tough for Brentford.
Again, a lot will depend on how strong a team both managers field for this cup tie. But Brentford's last two at home have ended in 5-3 and 4-3 wins so combining a Bees victory with BTTS might be the shout at 19/10.
Kevin Schade could start up front for Brentford after coming on as a sub at the weekend and the German is 6/5 with Bet365 to either score or assist.
Raith Rovers v Airdrieonians top betting tips
Punters have three games to pick from in the SPFL Championship tonight and I'm going to focus on a big game at the bottom as Airdrieonians visit Raith Rovers.
The Diamonds were flying at the start of the season and looked a decent each-way bet for promotion after some impressive displays in the group stage of the League Cup.
But the wheels have since come off spectacularly for Rhys McCabe's side and they sit bottom after a run of seven games without defeat in all competitions.
Raith's form isn't much better, with one win in their last nine, but Betano still make them 4/6 favourites with home advantage. Backing them to win the first half offers better odds at 13/10.
Jack Hamilton has scored in the last two games for Rovers so he might be worth a punt for anytime scorer at 11/5 with Bet365.
Tuesday's Football Tips: Super singles
- Southampton win to nil 17/10 Betano
- Kevin Schade goal or assist 6/5 Bet365
- Raith to win the first half 13/10 Betano

Southampton v Stoke City
Over 3 Goal Line at 1/1 (NAP)
Stoke to win at 11/2
If Southampton are serious about staying up then this cup is the last thing they need, bigger teams in the next round would be an unwelcome distraction for Southampton.
Best of luck
Spurs v Man City
Spurs to Qualify at 10/11 (NAP)
Spurs to win at 31/20
I think City will give this a miss this season as they have a lot of games coming up including the new 32 team club world cup in America in June which Chelsea are also a part of, extra games also in the Champions League I think they will see this as a needless distraction. Spurs isn’t an easy ground for City anyway. The odds suggest the bookies think the same. City won’t want to play every game possible then head into a month long tournament in the summer.
Best of luck
Got to fancy spurs most corners at 6/4 if city rest players.

They will be really pushing this half
Not sure about that mess
Red card for both teams didn’t help
OPTA Claim that Pierce Charles only made 4 saves (overall) yet the Sky pundits praised Pierce for making 3 first half saves. (Sky also had credited him with the save then wiped it off) He then made a further 2 saves in the second half. Who is paying OPTA for their information because they never seem to be watching the same match as I am. If a goalkeeper was not there would the shot have gone in? Yes or No???? OPTA’s answer seems to be it was a cross even though if it had gone in it would have been a goal
I had the same bet mate, but OPTA define a save as being from a deliberate attempt on goal, and I think they are saying Lewis-Potters attempt wasn’t deliberate
Bosko yes but if the keeper does not save it would it be a goal??? because with anyone with an un-corrupt mind that would then be a save. What happened to plain English speech “A save stops a goal”
Are Opta owned by a company related to any bookies by any chance?
