Thursdays top tips 2

England have finally hit their stride at the women's European Championships and the holders are odds-on favourites to see off Sweden in tonight's quarter-finals.

The Lionesses got their title defence off to the worst possible start as they lost 2-1 to France but responded well by thrashing both the Netherlands and Wales to finish as runners-up in Group D.

They've scored 10 times in their last two games but should find it tougher against a Swedish side who conceded just once as they topped Group C.

England Women vs Sweden Women top betting tips

The Swedes were hugely impressive as they battered Germany 4-1 in their final group game but BoyleSports make them 11/8 outsiders to reach the semis, with England 1/2 hot favourites.

Serena Wiegman's side should edge what looks like being a close encounter and backing them to win inside 90 minutes boost the odds to evens.

England thrashed the Swedes. 4-0 in the semis at Euro 2022 en route to winning the tournament but the last two meetings have both ended in draws.

That suggests a tight game and the half-time stalemate appeals at evens while over 5.5 England corners stands a chance at 7/5 after landing in two of their group games.

Partizan Belgrade vs AEK Larnaca

It's a busy night in the Europa League qualifiers and Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade have some work to do after losing the first leg to AEK Larnaca.

The Cypriots edged a 1-0 win on home soil last week but Partizan will be confident of turning things around back in Belgrade.

Partizan's recent record in Europe is poor and they haven't won any of their last eight matches in qualiyfing.

That's probably why BoyleSports make them 11/5 outsiders for a win tonight, with Larnaca the 21/20 favourites.

But Belgrade is never an easy place to visit so I reckon Partizan look overpriced and could be worth a punt. They are also a tempting 11/10 in the one-goal ahead market, with that bet paying out if they take the lead at any point.

Cliftonville vs St Joseph's

In the Conference League qualifiers, Northern Irish side Cliftonville are looking to finish the job at home to St Joseph's after drawing 2-2 in Gibraltar last week.

The minnows have only won two of their 16 European ties so it's hard to hold out much hope for them in Belfast, despite a decent display in the first leg.

St Joseph's faced Irish opposition last year as well, losing 2-1 away to Shelbourne and drawing in the home leg, so that's a decent barometer of how tonight's match could play out.

I'm surprised to see Cliftonville as big as evens for a win on the night at BoyleSports and that looks worth a punt with home advantage.

If you want to boost those odds a bit, backing the Reds to win the first half takes you to 17/10.
