Thursday’s Football Tips: Mourinho’s a man on a Manchester United mission

There's a cracker of a tie in the Europa League tonight as Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce host Manchester United.

The self-styled Special One has lost a bit of lustre since being sacked by United in 2018, with his only success coming in the Conference League with Roma.

His Fenerbahce reign hasn't got off to a sparkling start either, with the Turks knocked out in the Champions League qualifiers and sitting just fourth in their domestic league.

So Mourinho needs to start getting results and he would love nothing more than to get one over his old club in Istanbul, which would help push Erik ten Hag closer towards the Old Trafford exit door.

Fenerbahce v Manchester United top betting tips

Both sides are in decent form, with Fenerbahce unbeaten in four and Manchester United going three matches without defeat since their battering at home by Tottenham. That makes it a tough one to call and the half-time looks like a good option at 5/4.

BTTS has landed in every Europa League game so far for these sides and United's last trip to Turkey was for a 3-3 thriller with Galatasaray. So combining over 2.5 goals and BTTS looks like a good option here at 10/11 with Bet365.

Tottenham are still the bookies' favourites to win the Europa League and are now just 9/2 with some firms after winning their opening two games.

It would be a surprise if their perfect record ended in London tonight, given they're facing an AZ Alkmaar side who have lost four games in a row in all competitions.

Betano make the Dutch side 11/2 outsiders and that seems fair enough given they lost 2-0 at Athletic Bilbao on their last Euro road trip.

Rangers vs FCSB top betting tips

Rangers desperately need a win over FCSB at Ibrox tonight with the fans far from happy after Sunday's dismal 1-0 loss at Kilmarnock.

Philippe Clement's side started well in the Europa League with a win on the road at Malmo but were then outclassed as Lyon romped to a 4-1 win at Ibrox.

FCSB, the artists formerly known as Steaua Bucharest, have won both their games so far against Rigas and PAOK so this is a dangerous tie for Gers.

With Rangers looking ropey in defence, backing goals at both ends looks the shout and combining BTTS with over 2.5 goals pays 57/50 at Betano.

FCSB's Europa League games have been averaging 13 corners so over 10.5 flag kicks also looks good at 21/20 with the same firm.

UEFA Conference League top betting tips

New Heart of Midlothian boss Neil Critchley got off a flier at the weekend with a 4-0 win over St Mirren and will be out to follow it up with a European victory against Omonia Nicosia. The Jambos are 17/10 at Betano, which looks a decent price with home advantage.
