St James' Park will be rocking tonight as Newcastle kick off their Champions League campaign with a visit from mighty Barcelona.
The Catalans came close to going all the way last term, being pipped by Inter Milan in a classic semi-final that ended 7-6 on aggregate.
So this is a daunting opening game for Newcastle but St James' Park can be a great leveller and Barca lost 3-2 on their first visit back in 1997.
Newcastle United v Barcelona
Barcelona have been the great entertainers under Hansi Flick and their games in last season's Champions League averaged over 4.5 goals.
It will be interesting to see if Eddie Howe will tinker his tactics for this one but I'd imagine Newcastle will have a go with the fans roaring them on.
That makes over 3.5 goals worth a look at 11/10 with BoyleSports while combining BTTS and over strikes is a fair bit shorter at 8/13.
Newcastle should get stuck in as they try to knock Barca off their stride so the fouls market could provide a bit of value.
Full-back Tino Livramento should be up against either Marcus Rashford or Raphinha so he looks good value at evens with Bet365 to commit just one foul. Backing him for over 1.5 fouls boosts the odds to a whopping 5/1.
Manchester City vs Napoli
Manchester City were a big disappointment in Europe last season and will be looking to make a statement of intent when Napoli come calling tonight.
Pep Guardiola's men head into this game on a high after cruising to a 3-0 win in the derby, with Erling Haaland's double taking his tally for the season to 11 already.
The Norwegian is just 4/5 at BoyleSports for another goal tonight but combining that with a City win boosts his odds to 6/5.
Napoli are Italian champions and head to England in good form after winning their first three games in Serie A this season.
They should offer a threat so i like the evens on offer at Bet365 for City keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to make over 2.5 saves.
Sporting Lisbon v Kairat
Kazakh side Kairat are gracing the Champions League for the first time after shocking Celtic in the play-offs and get their campaign underway with a trip to Lisbon.
The minnows failed to score across two legs against the Hoops but managed to shut out Brendan Rodgers' side and progressed on penalties.
They now face another side in green and white hoops but Sporting are a step up in class from a Celtic side suffering from a lack of investment.
A Sporting win to nil looks likely but the odds are terrible at just 4/7 with BoyleSports. The Kazakhs will probably park the bus so try a Sporting win with under 3.5 goals at 5/4.
The corner count should rack up for the Portuguese side and over 7.5 Sporting corners pays 23/20. I'm more drawn to Sporting -5 in that handicap at 7/5 with BoyleSports.

Good morning,
Just a quick heads up for anyone fancying ADMIN’s punts on the
Livramento fouls, can currently get 7/4 for 1+ foul & 12/1 for 2+ fouls
at P/ Power.
Good spot bud 👍
That is a good spot mate I’ve had a little flutter on 2+ with skybet at 10/1 ,
Barcelona to win at 13/8
Should be a cracker of a game, I think Barxa to win simply because they are better equipped to score goals where as Newcastle are lacking in that department especially at this level. I also like Andreas Christensen to get booked at 4/1 if he starts, if he doesn’t start I’ll back him at a better price if he’s subbed on..
Best of luck
Brugge v Monaco
I think this game could get fiery to say the least

That same bet is 10/1 at skybet and 12’s at pp already highlighted above ⬆️⬆️
Scott MacTominay to score or assist and be carded 10/1 b365. Christensen not starting for Barca so will back him if he comes on at a better price.
I guess there was a reason why Livramento was as big as 7/4 (with 2 different bookies) to make a foul. They probably done their research – there were 11 fouls from Newcastle players in that game, spread across many different players, but Livramento wasn’t one of them, not even a single foul.
