It's great to see some Scottish Football featuring in the Match Previews section of the site again.
Sure it's ‘only' St Mirren v Arbroath at the moment but it signals the start of the 2022-23 season in Scotland as the Premier Sports Cup gets us kicked-off this weekend.
KevMac is ahead of the game with his preview and there'll be more to follow from the rest of our team as we get stuck in to the action north of the border.
Greg MacLean turns his attention to Norway for his Bet of the Day but there's not much happening beyond that so check out our tennis, racing and golf tips below, where our prolific tipster, The Caddy, is confident of his picks on home soil this weekend at the Scottish Open where recent winners Xander Schaffelle and Matt Fitzpatrick are on the shortlist.
Match Previews & Tips
Wimbledon Tips
Having tipped Ons Jabeur in the outright market earlier in the tournament, The Ace isn't going to desert the Tunisian now and has found an angle in her semi-final against Tatiana Maria on Centre Court today
In the men's competition Brit Cameron Norrie is a huge outsider to win outright at 25/1. He faces 1/4 Novak Djokovic in the semi-final, without question the biggest game of his career. Like Norrie, Aussie Nick Kyrgios will play in the first grand slam semi-final of his career as he goes head-to-head with battling Rafa Nadal who survived a five-setter yesterday.
Bookies seem to think Nadal is running on empty and make Kyrgios 8/13 to reach the final verus 13/10 on the Spaniard.
Golf Tips
It's the traditional final warm-up event before the Open Championship this week as 156 of the world's leading golfers gather at the Renaissance Club, North Berwick for the Scottish Open. As ever, The Caddy is on hand to offer his thoughts and tips for all the action north of the border.
Racing Tips
Rizzel narrowly missed out with his selection on Wednesday, but comes back with five fancies on Thursday.
As always, let us know your tips and predictions for today in the comments section below and good luck with all your bets!

Two Norwegian bets from me today:
⚽️Ranheim v Skeid – 5pm
⚽️Start v Brann – 5pm
??Norwegian OBOS-Liagen
?Bet: Ranheim win/Brann +0.5 Asian handicap double
?19/20 or 1.97 (odds at 1pm yesterday)
?(Bet365)
?NAP
Starting with second placed Ranheim, they are in sublime form. They’ve won 6 of their last 7 games and 8 of their last 10. They’ve scored 2+ in each of their last 6 games and if they score 2 again on Thursday, they’ll surely beat a lowly Skeid team who have lost 10 of their 12 league games.
Skeid (pronounced shide – let’s hope they are!) are newly promoted and are struggling badly. They are second bottom and are only off the bottom by 2 goals. As I’ve mentioned, they’ve lost 10/12 games this season, including all 5 of their away games – 4 of them they failed to even score. This is why I went for Ranheim win and not Ranheim to score 2+ as I think 1 goal might be enough and Skeid have twice lost 1-0 away this season.
Ranheim to win/over 1.5 goals is 4/5 which Is a superb price considering the form and league position of the teams. But I’ve decided to add in Brann +0.5 Asian handicap (which is essentially double chance but with better odds). Why have I added this? Brann have played 15 games this season, won 13, drawn 2 and lost 0. Unbeaten. They are so much better than everyone else on the league, I can see them going unbeaten all season. Away from home they’ve scored: 2,6,2,3,7,5,3,4 – against good teams, not just fodder. With a strike force like that it’s hard to see them losing against a Start side who’ve only won 1 of their last 6 and none of their last 3 at home.

⚽️Asane v KFUM – 5pm
⚽️Grorud v Sandnes – 5pm
??Norwegian OBOS-Liagen
?Bet: Over 2.5 goals double
?6/4 or 2.5 (odds price at 1pm yesterday)
?(Bet365)
?NB
Statistically, Asane v KFUM screams goals. Asane have seen o2.5 in 5/6 home games (2-1,1-2,3-2,1-1,0-4,1-5) and in 6 of their last 7 games. They’ve scored in 10 of their 12 games and kept zero clean sheets. They should contribute towards the tally and seem unlikely to keep them out at the other end.
KFUM games regularly see plenty of goals. They’ve gone o2.5 in 10 of their 12 league games, they’ve scored in all 12, kept only 2 clean sheets and have a 100% record of over 2.5 goals in away games (4-1,2-2,1-2,2-1,1-3,1-2). o2.5/BTTS is 5/6 which I think is really generous considering the stats.
Grorud are scrapping for their lives at the bottom and will see this home game as a way of getting a much needed win. They’ll surely go on the attack, like they usually do. Grorud have gone o2.5 in 9/12 league games, they’ve scored in 10/12 games – so should contribute – and have conceded 2+ in 10/12 games, with zero clean sheets this season.
Like Grorud, play off chasing Sandnes will also target this as a game to win; I’m expecting an attacking game. Sandnes have seen o2.5 in 9/12 games, in all of their last 4 games and have only kept 2 clean sheets all season. It’s hard to see either team keeping a clean sheet and statistically both teams should contribute here.
Superb Kris.. was on both and chanced the fourfold, great tipping
Superb bravery going for the 4 fold, Fitzy! KFUM bringing it home with a lovely late goal. ??
Afternoon gents,

?????? AFCON LONGSHOT ??.
No NAP tonight, nowt sticks out, trying this for smaller stake than normal.
Botswana (Women) v Nigeria (Women)
07 Jul 21:00
Botswana to score 6-4 (UNIBET).
Nigeria rank 1 in Africa v Botswana rank 29.
Nigeria world ranked 39 which is just above Northern Ireland who I’m watching now and they are pretty poor so Nigeria no world beaters.
Results in this group so far
South Africa 2 Nigeria 1
Botswana 4 Burundi 2
South Africa 3 Burundi 1
Apparently Nigeria’s best player who played for Barcelona is out but would be a huge shock if they didn’t win -1 handicap.
Prediction 2-0 or hopefully 3-1
Remember this is a LONGSHOT!!!!!
Remember all these games are played in Morocco.,.
