The battle for European group stage football continues this evening in both the Europa League and Europa Conference League.
Dundee Utd travel to the Netherlands to defend their 1-0 lead over AZ Alkmaar from last week. That looks a tall order with AZ just 1/3 to turn things around and qualify.
The Terrors were terrific last week and deserving of their win but the Dutch side have an excellent home record in Europe and it'll take a monumental effort by Jack Ross' side to progress. AZ at 1/5 are too short to back but you can get 8/11 on them winning without conceding.
Mesut Özil's Istanbul Başakşehir won 3-1 in Iceland last week and should be good to wrap things up with another win in Turkey.
Double them up with Cluj who drew 0-0 with Belarusian champions Shakhtyor Soligorsk in neutral Turkey last week. The Romanians crashed out the Champions League on penalties a few weeks ago and will be desperate to make amends by qualifying for the group stages in the Europa Conference. The Railwaymen should have the quality to take care of Shakhtyor who have yet to score in their three European matches so far and managed just two goals in their last 10 euro games.
Other teams that will be popular tonight are Basel, who a 4/6 at home following a 1-0 defeat to Brondby last week, and FCSB, also 4/6, who won 1-0 away in Slovakia against DAC Dunajská Streda last week.

Thought long and hard about tonight’s card but will go with my initial thoughts and gut feeling…cue predictable p*ss-take from Craneguy!

Brasil vs. Peru in this Copa Sudamericana 2nd leg tie and the bookies have the hosts nailed on for the win at odds of around 4/9 on.
It’s easy to see why given the historic differences between these two footballing clubs and countries but there’s a bit more bite to it now with Melgar having a cracking domestic campaign and running the (albeit 10 men) very close for the victory in the 0-0 first leg.
I think it will be tighter than the bookies think though and, with no away goals rule, both sides will be pushing for the win – I was tempted with Melgar on the handicap at one point but will side with a market that is serving me very well these last few months:
