FASTER than a speeding – no.  Not faster or more exciting than anything so we’ll stop that right there.

Russia PFL (First Div): Luch-Energiya v FK Tambov (9am)

Luch.  They’ve played ten games this season.  They’ve scored… 4 goals. They’ve conceded… 4 goals.

Their ten games this season have featured four x 0-0, five x 1-0 or 0-1, and one x 3-0, when Luch destroyed Armavir, the worst team in history. We’re on Unders.

You know how, in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, Charlie wins a ticket that’s the colour of gold?  Ironically, Luch’s tickets are the colour of chocolate.  I know what you’re thinking: “UHT, how can I get a chocolate-coloured ticket to see this amazing Luch side of whom you speak so highly?”

To be honest, I think having a Luch season ticket would be like having one of those continental toilets with a little ledge on it just beneath where you sit so you can inspect your latest contribution to the environment.  You get my point.

However, be aware that today’s opponents Tambov are second in the league.  All five of their aways so far this season are Over.  In five aways, they’ve scored 12 and conceded 5 for a GPG average of 3.4.  They might even be good enough to blitz Luch and come away with a three or four goal victory. Maybe.

Tambov at home beat Luch 2-1 last season in the league. But it was 0-0 with Tambov at home in the cup.  And, in the league, with Luch at home, it was 0-0.  And it was only a 1-0 away win for Tambov with Luch at home the season before.

We’re getting offered 8-15 for Unders here – on Luch, for goodness sake!

Russia PFL (First Div): Spartak Moscow 2 v Armavir (1pm)

Last week, following four wins, Spartak lost away at Nizhny Novograd who are the third best home side in this league.  Of the ten games they’ve played this season, Spartak have only played four at home – they’ve won three of those and drawn one and they’re F6 A2.  They’ve played six away and won three of those too.

Armavir I had a pop at last week, and hey, I already noted they were the only team who could concede THREE against Luch!  OK, they may not be the worst team in the world, but they nevertheless refuse a home/away showdown with Albion Rovers.  Season record: P10  W0  D2  L8  F2  A19.  Away, they’re P6  W0  D1  L5  F1  A12.  So, they concede one goal, they’re pretty much guaranteed to lose.

I think the home win at 8-15 is quite generous.  But then again, I’m prone to understatement.

Russia PFL Centre (Div Two): Metallurg Lipetsk v Torpedo Moscow (1pm)

I’m going to keep my analysis simple here.  These are the two best sides in this league by a mile.

Torpedo have played seven and they’ve won seven.  They’ve scored 11 and conceded 1.  Away, they’ve played two, scoring 3 and conceding 0.  They may have won every game, but at no point have they gone goal crazy (Except the time they won 3-0 at home when we were on Unders two weeks ago.)

Meanwhile, Lipetsk have played eight.  They’ve scored 21 goals and conceded 8.  But that’s in all games.  Note, at home, they’ve played three, won three, but only scoring 3 goals, conceding 0.  (They’ve won three games 1-0.)

Last season with Lipetsk at home it was 2-1, but these teams aren’t playing like they did last season. I think this looks like it will be cagey and that means Unders.  That’s 13-20.

Recommended Treble

  • Luch-Energiya v FK Tambov – Under 2.5 match goals (9am)
  • Spartak Moscow 2 v Armavir – Home Win (1pm)
  • Metallurg Lipetsk v Torpedo Moscow – Under 2.5 match goals (1pm)
  • (3-1, bet365)

    Luch 0-1 Tambov
    Spartak 1-2 Armavir
    Lipetsk 0-0 Torpedo

Oh FFS! Unders In again, but league whipping boys Armavir confound all form by not only growing a pair, but scoring a pair, too. ?

Remember I mentioned the wonderfully inept non goal scoring machines Llandudno last week.
Well it’s another Btts no and unders winner for them today.
They actually won 1-0 so well done them.
Double them with tours in French national league every week and surely it’s overall profit this season.
