It’s finals time this Sunday, with a range of different ATP and WTA events reaching their climaxes. We’ve looked at the latest odds and broken down which matches are best to bet on today.
Best Tennis Tips and Predictions Today
Based on the latest tennis odds, here are the bets we're recommend you jump on today:
Berrettini to Defeat Halys 2-0 @ 3/4
He’s back, baby! Matteo Berrettini is in red-hot form this year, and looks like the player that was once a regular in the top 10 and challenging for big titles. The Italian is 15-4 since returning to the ATP Tour from injury, with a title in Marrakech, final in Stuttgart, and now another final in Gstaad.
We were impressed by his resolve in defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas this week, a man who he held a 4-0 head-to-head against. Up against Quentin Halys, we can’t see this going any other way than a ninth title for Berrettini.
Nadal to Defeat Borges @ 2/5
Rafael Nadal has shown his trademark fighting spirit yet again, coming from a set behind to win his semi-final match on Saturday. He’s been far from the player who won 22 Grand Slams this week, but he’s also done what’s needed to win, which is saying something.
Up against the largely untested Nuno Borges, expect Nadal to get the job done on Sunday. He’s signalled his intent to take this seriously by withdrawing from the doubles event, so don’t expect a half-hearted effort from the Spaniard. Back the 38-year-old to go all the way and claim his 93rd title in Bastad.
Fils to Win a Set vs Zverev @ 4/5
Perhaps the most interesting of this week’s finals is Alexander Zverev vs Arthur Fils in Hamburg. Zverev is a strong favourite as a consistent member of the top five and playing at home in front of his German fans.
However, Fils is playing lights out tennis this week with comprehensive wins over Holger Rune and Sebastian Baez most recently. Don’t expect him to roll over without a fight. We say he’s a good shot at picking up a set in a losing cause today.
