Hi guys. Not sure if anyone uses Vickers, but wanted to check your thoughts on that.
Last Monday I received an email that they will be closing their operations and I had to withdraw any funds by Feb 13. The email looked genuine, but I thought I would check with them and tried to use Live Chat. When the Live Chat asked me what I wanted to talk about I stupidly put “Closing Account” without thinking too much about it – it asked me for my details, I added them and waited for 15-20 minutes without any response, so I decided to close the Live Chat and send them an email through the form on their website. On my email, I asked them to confirm that they are closing their operations and if so, what documents I would need to upload to withdraw my funds.
A few minutes later, I received an email from their support team that my account had been closed as per my request, also giving me information about self-exclusion! I replied straight away that I never intended to close the account or self-exclude and only wanted information about how to withdraw my funds as their website would close.
At 7.30 the following morning I received a second email from their info address (not their support team) replying to my initial request (not the Live Chat one) that I need to log in to my account and upload a bank statement, etc to withdraw my funds. I replied that their support team had closed my account and explained to them again that I was only asking for information and never intended to close it attaching my response to their support team. Since then, I have followed a couple more times with both the info and support team and have received no response.
There is another email address mentioned on the initial email about the closing of their operations for the “mother” company (aristocrat.com), which I am planning to copy on my next follow up but I was wondering if you had any similar experience or suggestions.
